Update on potential Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins match for WWE Survivor Series 2023 - Reports
Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins are currently the Undisputed WWE Universal and World Heavyweight Champions on Friday Night SmackDown and Monday Night RAW, respectively. However, a new report provided details on a potential showdown between the two stars in the near future.
Earlier this year, Roman Reigns moved to Friday Night SmackDown with the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Meanwhile, the promotion introduced a new World Heavyweight Championship for Monday Night RAW, and Seth Rollins won the title in a tournament.
The company is heading towards Survivor Series, and some storylines on weekly television have hinted at brand warfare. The biggest possible match from a brand vs. brand event would be a singles bout between The Tribal Chief and The Visionary in Chicago.
Recently, fans on X (Twitter) asked BWE if the company is planning for a Champion vs. Champion match between Reigns and Rollins at WWE Survivor Series. The insider revealed that the company is only teasing a match, and it won't take place anytime soon.
"Not soon. Teasing it every once in a while for the ultimatum."
It will be interesting to see what the two stars will do at the event in November.
Roman Reigns faced Seth Rollins at WWE Royal Rumble 2022
In 2022, Roman Reigns entered his second year as the Universal Champion, but The Tribal Chief had no challengers on the blue brand. Later, Seth Rollins made an appearance on Friday Night SmackDown and made his intention clear to go after the champion.
The Tribal Chief was livid with the management's decision to make The Visionary his next challenger, as Roman Reigns had never defeated Seth Rollins in a title match. Instead, The Bloodline made it difficult for Rollins to face Reigns at WWE Royal Rumble 2022.
The two finally faced each other at the event, and The Visionary took it a step further when he appeared in The Shield's attire. The match between the two stars delivered, but the ending disappointed fans across the globe. In the end, Reigns used a steel chair and got himself disqualified.
The two have not faced each other since their match in January 2022. In July, they crossed paths, but Reigns was in a feud with Brock Lesnar, and Rollins feuded with Matt Riddle on Monday Night RAW.
