Vince McMahon's attorney responds to claim that his health is "deteriorating fast" - Reports
A major update has come out on the rumors surrounding Vince McMahon's health. The rumors in question stated that the former WWE Chairman's health is deteriorating fast.
It's been quite some time since Vince was seen on WWE TV. He resigned from the company earlier this year in the wake of Janel Grant's sexual abuse lawsuit against him. WWE will likely never bring McMahon back on TV, judging by the severity of the lawsuit.
Lee Cole, brother of former WWE personnel Tom Cole, recently claimed that Vince McMahon's health is deteriorating quickly, as per Linda McMahon. Now, John Pollock and Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics have refuted the claim. As per the duo, Vince's attorney, Jessica Rosenberg, said the following:
“Vince’s health is fine. We have no idea where the rumor that he had health issues came from, but it is not true.” [H/T Wrestlenomics]
What exactly did Lee Cole say about Vince McMahon?
Lee Cole hinted that he and Linda McMahon have a common friend. He claimed that Linda told the friend in question that McMahon isn't the same man he once was and his declining health is the reason people don't see him in public anymore. Here's Cole's full comment:
“Linda McMahon, somebody that her and I have in common, was talking to a person and telling them that her husband’s health is deteriorating fast. And he’s not the same man that he was. He barely gets out. That’s why you don’t see him out public,” said Cole. [H/T CageSideSeats]
McMahon is quite possibly the most controversial entity in the history of pro wrestling. He was ruthless in his quest to take over the pro wrestling industry in the US back in the day.
In 2001, he bought out his biggest competition, WCW, leaving WWE the only major wrestling promotion in the States.
