WWE cancels major plans for Seth Rollins - Reports
A recent update has shed light on how an unforeseen injury to a popular WWE star has put WWE plans for him and Seth Rollins in jeopardy. Bronson Reed, who injured himself at Survivor Series 2024, was expected to have a series of matches with Rollins on the live event circuit throughout the holiday season this month.
Before Reed was inserted into the Bloodline saga and paired up with Solo Sikoa and his crew, he was feuding with Rollins. The duo even had a pair of memorable matches, including one at Crown Jewel 2024, where The Visionary came out on top.
Bronson Reed got his win back on the November 18 episode of RAW. Though Reed joined The Bloodline for the Men's WarGames match at Survivor Series 2024, he was expected to return and resume his feud with Seth Rollins.
This never came to fruition as the former NXT North American Champion suffered an ankle injury during the WarGames bout, forcing WWE to pull him from in-ring action. PWInsider recently reported that the promotion had planned a series of Steel Cage matches between Reed and Rollins for the holiday season, which now stands canceled.
WWE veteran Jim Cornette is not pleased with how Bronson Reed got injured
On a recent edition of his Jim Cornette Experience podcast, the former manager explained that Reed should have never participated in the spot at Survivor Series 2024. He said the RAW Superstar climbing the cage to deliver a Tsunami should have been avoided, as a similar spot was executed by Tiffany Stratton and IYO SKY in the Women's WarGames match earlier in the show.
"Except some of the egregious—you know, how many tables can we break? We didn't need that. The girls had jumped off the top of the cage before these guys did. I guarantee you if a girl jumped off the scaffold of Starcade 86 in the first match before I went out there, I would have said, 'F**k it. I'm not doing it,' because they've already done it anyway."
While only time will tell when Bronson Reed will return to TV, WWE has seemingly pulled the trigger on Seth Rollins and CM Punk's much-awaited feud in his absence.
