WWE is hopeful that 52-year-old Attitude Era icon will return on the debut episode of Monday Night RAW on Netflix [Reports]
There's tremendous hype surrounding WWE RAW's debut on Netflix in 2025. According to reports, Triple H and his creative team are hopeful that a 52-year-old Attitude Era icon, The Rock, will take time out of his busy schedule to appear on the show.
The Final Boss recently returned at Bad Blood to sow the seeds for a potential main event for WrestleMania next year. He stared down Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and Jimmy Uso as they were standing in the ring following Rhodes and Reigns' victory over the Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline.
The Rock did a throat-slashing gesture before walking to the back, leaving fans speculating who could be The Final Boss' next target. Mere days after his return, rumors surfaced that The Brahma Bull wouldn't be able to make it to The Show of Shows next year because his schedule got too heavy.
However, The People's Champ quashed the online rumors and strongly hinted at coming back to WWE in 2025. It looks like his next return date has been seemingly revealed.
During Fightful Select’s Q&A podcast, Sean Ross Sapp said the creative team is looking to get The Rock for the debut episode of RAW on Netflix, which will take place from Intuit Dome in Los Angeles on January 6:
"They're hopeful, they can get The Rock," Sean Ross Sapp said.
Blockbuster rematch tipped to go down on WWE RAW's debut on Netflix
Speaking on Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman discussed how Triple H can make RAW's Netflix debut the most memorable show in recent memory.
The Coach said he would like to see Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes III and a potential John Cena or The Rock's return on the show:
"To me, you've gotta throw every star you have and bring back some OGs to be in the show too. You gotta make this like a WrestleMania, what three weeks before Royal Rumble? And then to me, Rock's gotta be there, Cena's gotta be there. You know, Cody and Roman gotta go one-on-one. You've gotta pull everything out, don't you?"
Reigns is currently involved in a Bloodline civil war with Solo Sikoa, while Rhodes has been facing repercussions for teaming up with The Original Tribal Chief.
Once their respective feuds conclude, a rubber match between Rhodes and Reigns on RAW's debut episode on Netflix could be on the cards.
