WWE makes significant change to major match on SmackDown - Reports

WWE made a significant change to a match on tonight's edition of SmackDown. Tonight's show was taped last week in Wisconsin due to the company being on tour in Japan this week.

There is a massive Gauntlet Match scheduled for tonight's edition of SmackDown. Several tag teams will be competing in the match to determine the number one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship held by Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano (#DIY).

Bayley and Michin will be teaming up to battle Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton tonight on SmackDown. According to a report from Fightful Select, the match was originally listed as the final segment of the show but wound up being filmed before the Gauntlet Match.

Tiffany Stratton emerged victorious in the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder match earlier this month and has guaranteed herself a future title shot. Nia Jax earned a title shot by winning the Queen of the Ring tournament and will be challenging Bayley for the WWE Women's Championship at SummerSlam.

Former WWE manager praises SmackDown segment

Wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell was a fan of a recent promo featuring Bayley, Nia Jax, and Tiffany Stratton.

Bayley and Nia Jax had a confrontation earlier this month on SmackDown. The Irresistible Force took out the champion and Stratton seemingly teased a Money in the Bank cash-in before Jax prevented it.

Speaking on a recent edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk show, Mantell shared that he liked the segment because fans got to see alliances tested in real time.

"I liked this segment because you saw the alliances and you saw it change right in front of you. That Tiffany, when Nia got at little hot at her, she got behind Bayley. Her whole position moved in the ring. Then at the end, I'll cash this in and Nia... that told the story." [From 26:41 onwards]
