WWE could be making major change ahead of Money in the Bank - Reports
WWE is set to present the 15th annual Money in the Bank PLE this weekend. The big event will air live from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, featuring the signature men's and women's ladder matches. New details on more changes are being revealed with less than three full days to go.
World Wrestling Entertainment made several changes to Premium Live Events earlier this year. In the past, Kickoff pre-shows aired the day of the show, usually for one hour. With WrestleMania XL, WWE aired a one-hour Kickoff the day before, then began airing two-hour Countdown shows as the day-of preview. The company has since gone back and forth with this concept.
WWE currently has a two-hour Money In the Bank Kickoff event scheduled for 5 p.m. ET on Friday. The media event is free to fans and will feature several superstars. Fans can attend the Kickoff at Scotiabank Arena's Gate 5 entrance, with plenty of time to make it inside for SmackDown that night.
The Countdown to Money In the Bank is scheduled to air on Peacock at 5 p.m. ET on Saturday. The two-hour pre-show will serve as the lead-in to the main card, which begins at 7 p.m. ET on Peacock. This is an earlier start time for WWE PLE shows in North America. The only other 2024 events to air domestically this year were the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania XL. Both of those shows had pre-show start times of 7 p.m. and main card start times of 8 p.m.
After Money In the Bank, WWE currently has just one more North American PLE on the 2024 schedule, and that's SummerSlam, set for Saturday, August 3, in Cleveland. Bash In Berlin is scheduled for Saturday, August 31, in Berlin, and Crown Jewel is booked for Saturday, November 2, in Riyadh.
WWE Money In the Bank 2024 updated lineup
World Wrestling Entertainment currently has five matches finalized for the 2024 Money In the Bank PLE. There were seven matches on the 2023 card.
MITB will likely open and close with the signature men's and women's MITB Ladder Matches. Below is the current lineup:
- The Bloodline vs. Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Kevin Owens
- Intercontinental Championship: Sami Zayn (c) defends vs. Bron Breakker
- Women's MITB Ladder Match: Tiffany Stratton vs. IYO SKY vs. vs. Chelsea Green vs. Lyra Valkyria vs. Zoey Stark vs. Naomi
