WWE may hold off letting huge name challenge Roman Reigns in Saudi Arabia - Reports
The latest reports suggest that WWE is possibly trying to hold off letting a top star challenge Roman Reigns at the 2023 Crown Jewel.
The name in question is LA Knight, who is dubbed as the fastest-rising star in World Wrestling Entertainment. Recently, the 40-year-old star took home the win against Solo Siko and Jimmy Uso by teaming up with John Cena at Fastlane 2023.
Given that The Tribal Chief is not a big fan of The Bloodline member losing a match, Knight has already somehow entered the storyline after Fastlane.
On November 4, the 2023 Crown Jewel will be broadcast live from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Fans could expect a packed card for the PLE, with Roman Reigns and John Cena likely to appear in a title match.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported that the storyline between The Leader of Cenation and The Tribal Chief will likely start taking its shape during the latter's return to WWE SmackDown tonight.
The report also noted that LA Knight seems like the best candidate to challenge Reigns for the title in Saudi Arabia, but WWE may want to hold that off for a bigger show.
"The Reigns angle will likely be shot at Smackdown. Coming off the show, Knight would seem like the best challenger, but they may want to hold that off for a bigger show." [H/T - WON]
Roman Reigns will defend his title against a former Bloodline member this Saturday
The 38-year-old star has been away from in-ring action since SummerSlam 2023. However, Reigns is slated to defend his title in a non-televised event.
The Tribal Chief will defend his title against former Bloodline member Sami Zayn on October 14, 2023, at The WWE SuperShow hosted at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri, as part of the 2023 Fall Tour.
At Elimination Chamber 2023, Zayn failed to dethrone Reigns from his title. It remains to be seen if the former Tag Team Champion can pull a miracle to become the new champion.
