WWE quashes major LA Knight rumor

WWE Superstar LA Knight has become the talk of the wrestling town lately. An update on his status has come to light.

Earlier today, Luken's Wine and Spirits' official X (formerly Twitter) handle posted a tweet, claiming LA Knight was pulled from the upcoming meet and greet in Tampa on December 27, 2024, due to an undisclosed injury.

It was also noted that fellow SmackDown Superstar Braun Strowman would be replacing him. However, that may not be the case.

According to Fightful Select, WWE has quashed the report, saying The Megastar is not injured. As a matter of fact, LA Knight was never approved for an appearance at the meet and greet.

Luken's Wine and Spirits has since deleted their post.

Knight has been involved in multiple feuds on SmackDown since losing his United States Championship to Shinsuke Nakamura at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames.

On the December 6 episode of SmackDown, the Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline ambushed Andrade and Knight during a segment involving Nakamura. The Street Champion surprisingly spared the United States Champion.

Sikoa became a thorn in the side of Knight and his quest to reclaim the United States Title. The two men faced each other on SmackDown last week, which ended with Knight winning via disqualification after The Bloodline interfered.

With Solo Sikoa set to face Roman Reigns on RAW's Netflix debut, it will be interesting to see what WWE has in store for LA Knight.
