WWE reportedly has huge future plans for Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre is one of the most bankable WWE Superstars on the roster, and the creative team reportedly has huge plans for him in the future.
McIntyre spent several months away from WWE after WrestleMania 39 to recover from an injury. After three months of hiatus, he returned at Money in the Bank in London and confronted Gunther. He challenged The Ring General to a match at SummerSlam for the Intercontinental Championship but failed to win the title.
There were then teases of a potential heel turn that never happened. He went on to confront Seth Rollins a couple of weeks ago and challenged him to a title match. Rollins will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against McIntyre at Crown Jewel on November 4.
According to the latest report by Better Wrestling Experience, the company has huge plans for The Scottish Warrior. The WWE insider also teased that the plan is a "bigger deal" than McIntyre winning the World Heavyweight Championship from Rollins.
It's been a while since Drew McIntyre received a huge push. McIntyre's last championship run was in 2020, and he never had the chance to win back a world title in front of a huge crowd.
Drew McIntyre to join The Judgment Day?
WWE has dropped hints and teases about Drew McIntyre possibly joining The Judgment Day. McIntyre was caught by cameras speaking to Rhea Ripley backstage. The Eradicator then helped the two-time WWE champion defeat Sami Zayn this past Monday on RAW.
While McIntyre didn't acknowledge Ripley's assist, fans think that the Scottish Warrior is secretly working with The Judgment Day. WWE held a survey to ask fans what they thought was happening between Drew and Rhea.
It should be noted that McIntyre's contract is still reportedly set to expire in early 2024. The two sides have not agreed on a deal, with Endeavor's takeover as a potential factor as to why nothing has been signed.
