WWE reportedly has massive plans in place for Roman Reigns' return match
Roman Reigns’ earth-shattering comeback at WWE SummerSlam: Cleveland proved a big boost for the company. Reports of The Original Tribal Chief’s potential return match have come forward.
Reigns came out to attack Solo Sikoa during his Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes on August 3. His involvement in the match allowed The American Nightmare to retain the title.
Jacob Fatu returned on the latest edition of SmackDown and took down Roman Reigns with the help of the other members of Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline. A new report has now pointed towards a big main event match involving The Original Tribal Chief at Survivor Series: WarGames, which may be his first bout since WrestleMania XL.
PWN (via Cultaholic) has reported that the current plan within WWE is to put the New Bloodline, headed by Solo Sikoa, against a team built by Roman Reigns at Survivor Series: WarGames. The direction on WWE TV has been to build a match between the Old Bloodline and the New Bloodline at Survivor Series.
Fans will likely see Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa join Solo Sikoa to take on Roman Reigns, The Usos, and Sami Zayn in the main event of the premium live event. However, nothing has been confirmed as of this writing. The Original Tribal Chief could turn towards some other familiar foes in the company for some help.
Roman Reigns will likely become the only Tribal Chief in WWE
Solo Sikoa dropped a major hint on SmackDown that the one in possession of the Ula Fala will be The Tribal Chief. He made it clear that whoever has the lei will lead their tribe.
The hint suggests that Sikoa and Roman Reigns will be going to war for the Ula Fala down the line. The match could be built up for several months heading into Royal Rumble 2025 or WrestleMania 41.
Fans have seen Reigns compete in only a handful of matches each year over the past few years. This will help protect him from taking any singles losses and also give him time to build the storyline once Paul Heyman returns to take his side and he starts building his team.
While the match would be big enough for the main event of WrestleMania, the creative team could reserve that spot for Reigns’ rematch for the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes. Therefore, fans could see Reigns become The Tribal Chief again at Royal Rumble 2025.
