WWE rumored to take another mega Premium Live Event to international venue in 2025

The new era of WWE has been big for Premium Live Events. The company is putting on PLE shows that are widely viewed as a much-improved product, and many of these spectacles take place in international markets. There are now rumors of another major event planned for next year.

World Wrestling Entertainment has held several notable Premium Live Events around the world since the 2022 expansion began, from Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia, Canada, and Australia, to Clash at the Castle in Wales and Scotland, Backlash in France and Puerto Rico, and so on. There's also strong talk of taking WrestleMania to London in the near future.

Mexico is one of the heavily rumored locations for a future international WWE PLE, but word now is that the company is taking the rosters a bit farther - to Italy. There are said to be plans that will see the Stamford-based promotion run a PLE in Italy sometime next year.

Sources were not clear when The Boot might host a Premium Live Event, or what the theme of the show could be. It should be noted that WWE has not confirmed any PLE for Italy, but this is the word going around after Cody Rhodes publicly endorsed the idea.

The company last ran Italy this past spring for 1 non-televised live event on the post-WrestleMania tour of Europe. The WWE Universe packed the Unipol Arena in Bologna, Italy on Wednesday, May 1.

Update on WWE PLE shows for 2024

World Wrestling Entertainment just wrapped the 37th annual SummerSlam Premium Live Event at Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio. Officials announced the attendance of 57,791 fans.

The next PLE is scheduled for Saturday, August 31 - the inaugural Bash In Berlin event. Below is the current announced lineup:

August 31: Bash In Berlin at Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany
September 1: NXT No Mercy at Ball Arena in Denver, CO
October 5: Bad Blood at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA
November 2: Crown Jewel at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
November 30: Survivor Series: WarGames at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC, Canada

The 2025 Royal Rumble is booked for February 1 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN. WrestleMania 41 will take place on April 19 and April 20, 2025 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, while the first-ever two-night SummerSlam is booked for August 1 and 2, 2026, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN.
