WWE's massive plans for CM Punk at WrestleMania 41 revealed - Reports (Exclusive)
It seems like WWE wants CM Punk all over the posters and promotional material for WrestleMania 41. A new report has indicated just how big WWE's plans are for the Best in the World in Las Vegas.
On WrestleVotes Radio on Backstage Pass, JoeyVotes and TC emphasized just how great a standing CM Punk has in his return run in WWE. He has become a hugely popular figure backstage and there seems to be a completely different tone to what happened prior to his departure a decade ago. Triple H even confirmed in the WrestleMania 40 documentary that Punk vs. Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship was the original plan for the main event of Night 1.
JoeyVotes and TC reported that WWE has significant plans for CM Punk at WrestleMania 41 and they plan to put him in a top-tier match. Whether that's the main event of night one or anything else is yet to be seen, but it looks like he could be in the World Heavyweight Championship match in the Allegiant Stadium.
[Possible spoiler] Who could CM Punk be facing at WrestleMania 41?
With all the talk of The Second City Saint being in a top-level WrestleMania match, who exactly could he be facing? The answer to many was Seth Rollins until WWE announced that it would happen on the RAW on Netflix debut. However, there's still a chance that it extends and blows off in Las Vegas.
According to Xero News on X/Twitter, the plan is reportedly to still have CM Punk face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 41. How it could lead to that will be interesting to see.
Since Seth Rollins is already a Royal Rumble winner (2019), it could mean that Punk wins the Rumble for the first time in his career. Seth Rollins will soon have to cross paths with World Heavyweight Champion Gunther and dethrone him in order to get to a World Title match at WrestleMania 41.
That leaves a lot of questions, such as what the plan for Gunther could potentially be at WrestleMania. It seems like an established thought among fans that Cody Rhodes will be walking into WrestleMania as the Undisputed WWE Champion - unless something shocking happens in his rivalry with Kevin Owens.
