WWE's plan for CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins - Report

Kicking off the show with a heartfelt speech, CM Punk expressed gratitude to his fans, the WWE team, and those who despise him on RAW this week. He left his future ambiguous, hinting at some time off.

Before he could leave the building, though, Seth Rollins walked out to the arena, and the two had a staredown. This was the company's way of planting seeds for Punk's program when he would be ready and able to make a comeback.

As per WRKD Wrestling, the plan is to eventually have CM Punk and Seth Rollins facing each other. The destination seems to be WrestleMania 41 in Paradise, Nevada. While The Straight-Edge Superstar is seemingly going to be off television for a prolonged period, The Visionary has teased a heel turn.

At Bad Blood, CM Punk apparently ended his rivalry with Drew McIntyre in a brutal Hell in a Cell match. WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page revealed post-show that McIntyre got "16 staples" after the grueling bout. The Scotsman was not part of the red brand's show this week, and his status remains unclear as of this writing.

Seth Rollins has a huge obstacle to overcome before CM Punk

After shocking the WWE Universe with an unannounced appearance last week, where he laid out 'Big' Bronson Reed in the Last Monster Standing match, Seth Rollins addressed Reed's issues with him.

In August, The Auszilla took out the former World Heavyweight Champion, later claiming that he did it so that people would start noticing. Rollins iterated during this week's promo: "You want to get famous? I'll give you your 15 minutes." He further challenged Bronson Reed to a match.

This appeared to be The Visionary's direction for the time being, but that was not all. After saying his piece, Intercontinental Champion Jey Uso joined him in the ring as Uso was scheduled to defend his title against Xavier Woods in the opening contest of the night. Rollins was evidently annoyed by it but chose to simply walk away.

Drew McIntyre's hate for CM Punk is strikingly similar to what Seth Rollins feels about the former AEW World Champion. Perhaps WWE might be looking to turn Seth Rollins heel for his program with The Best in the World, which is one of the most anticipated dream matches ever.
