WWE's plans for Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes 3 - Reports

Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes gave the WWE Universe the ride of their lifetime through compelling storytelling for two long years. Finally, at WrestleMania XL, The American Nightmare went on to dethrone The Tribal Chief to win the Undisputed WWE Title. Now, WWE has allegedly planned to have the two face off for the third time soon enough.

At WrestleMania 39, Cody Rhodes came up short against Roman Reigns as the numbers game got the better of him when The Bloodline ensured that The Tribal Chief walked out of the PLE with the Undisputed WWE Championship. In 2024, Rhodes won the Royal Rumble to book his ticket to the main event of WrestleMania XL. The second night of the PLE saw Rhodes finally win the Undisputed WWE Title in a Bloodline Rules match.

The WWE Universe wants to see the two major superstars face off yet again, and according to Xero News, the match may happen sooner rather than later. According to the report, the third installment of the match will take place in Saudi Arabia this year, ahead of the Netflix changes taking shape.

Where do Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes stand after WWE RAW heads to Netflix?

WWE RAW will be heading into a new era in January 2025. The Stamford-based promotion will be moving to Netflix for its flagship show for the first time since its inception 31 years ago.

A report claims that Netflix has requested that WWE move either Cody Rhodes or Roman Reigns to RAW. If The Tribal Chief is the one who moves to the red brand, the plan is to have him win the World Heavyweight Championship in due time to elevate it.

The report also claims that The Rock's opponent for WrestleMania 41 is dependent on which superstar moves to RAW. The rumored plan is to have The People's Champion be a part of RAW and finally challenge the champion of his brand.
