WWE set to break major record on SmackDown - Reports

The upcoming edition of WWE SmackDown will air live from the iconic Madison Square Garden. Ahead of the commencement of the show, the Stamford-based company is already set to create history.

WWE is currently going through a very successful phase. The wrestling promotion is doing great numbers, breaking records one after the other this year. The global juggernaut is cracking unprecedented deals and opening new markets with overseas premium live events.

The June 28 edition of the blue brand's show returns to the MSG. As shared by WrestleOps on X (fka Twitter), The World's Most Famous Arena is expected to host over 17,000 fans later tonight. It will be the wrestling promotion's highest attendance for a television show at the venue in over ten years.

The upcoming edition of WWE SmackDown is supposed to be full of action

Money in the Bank is one of the most-awaited premium live events in WWE. The upcoming edition of Friday Night SmackDown will feature three Triple-Threat qualifying matches for the Money in the Bank ladder match.

Jade Cargill will lock horns with Tiffany Stratton and Candice LeRae to book their slot in the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match. The Storm's tag team partner failed to win her qualifying match last week as Chelsea Green secured the win after pinning Mia Yim.

Elsewhere on the card, Naomi, Blair Davenport, and Indi Hartwell will collide to earn a shot at the contract. United States Champion Logan Paul will also enter the Money in the Bank qualifier match tonight against LA Knight and Santos Escobar.

In addition to the qualifying matches, the show will feature the Bloodline Acknowledgment Ceremony. WWE made the announcement earlier this week after Jacob Fatu's blockbuster debut last Friday. On the same night, Solo Sikoa told Paul Heyman that Roman Reigns would never return to WWE.

The Bloodline has grown leaps and bounds since WrestleMania XL despite the absence of Roman Reigns as Solo Sikoa has taken over the leadership of the heel faction. The Enforcer has also brought in new members to strengthen the group after kicking out Jimmy Uso following The Show of Shows. It will be interesting to see what lies ahead for The Bloodline as wrestling fans eagerly wait for Roman's return.
