WWE taking interesting approach to Bad Blood main event - Reports
WWE Bad Blood 2024 is scheduled to take place on October 5 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The show will mark the fourth edition of the premium live event. A recent report claimed that the Stamford-based promotion has been taking an intriguing approach to decide which match should headline the show.
The Bad Blood Premium Live Event will feature Roman Reigns' in-ring return after WrestleMania XL as the Original Tribal Chief will team up with Cody Rhodes to take on The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. Elsewhere on the card, Drew McIntyre and CM Punk will lock horns in a Hell in a Cell Match. In addition to these matches, both the WWE women's singles titles will be on the line, and Damian Priest will face Finn Balor.
Early rumors suggested Punk vs. McIntyre III would main-event the premium live event. It was then reported that the tag team match featuring Reigns and Rhodes would end the show, considering their history with the venue. However, a recent report from Fightful Select claimed that the wrestling promotion has taken the reception of fans online into consideration when it comes to which contest would headline WWE Bad Blood.
WWE Superstar comments on the stipulation set for her match at Bad Blood
Women's World Champion Liv Morgan will defend her title against arch-rival Rhea Ripley at the WWE Bad Blood Premium Live Event. The Judgment Day member's on-screen boyfriend, Dominik Mysterio, will be suspended in a shark cage above the ring during the championship match.
While speaking to Peter Rosenberg on the Cheap Heat podcast, Liv Morgan pointed out that she hated the stipulation. The 30-year-old claimed that 'Dirty' Dom would have a difficult time being locked inside the cage suspended above the squared circle, considering he is claustrophobic and also has a fear of heights.
"I hate that [shark cage stipulation] for him [Dominik Mysterio]. First of all, it's dangerous, [and] second of all, the amount of trauma that man has. He doesn't like heights and also behind the bars, and also he's claustrophobic, truly, genuinely. He might have a hard time up there. He's going to have a hard time up there," she said. Dominik Mysterio helped Liv Morgan beat Becky Lynch to become the Women's World Champion. The former NXT North American Champion also helped Morgan during her title defenses. It remains to be seen if Morgan will be able to retain the championship with the younger Mysterio suspended above the ring inside a shark cage.
