WWE Rumors: Eva Marie not expected to be at any WrestleMania 33 weekend event

Did she ever desire success in pro wrestling, or was it all a game?

What's the story?

As we reported earlier this week, it appears that Eva Marie is done with the WWE. New reports are surfacing which show that she hasn't even been booked for Axxess or any other WWE operated events throughout the WrestleMania week.

In case you didn't know...

Eva Marie joined the SmackDown LIVE roster in July of 2016. Soon after, she began working a series in-ring segments where she would have random “wardrobe malfunctions” prior to her matches, which would result in a no-contest.

In August of 2016, Eva was suspended for 30 days for violating the company’s wellness policy.

The heart of the matter:

Several websites, including Wrestling Inc., have reported that WWE officials would not be renewing Eva Marie’s contract.

While Eva herself has remained fairly quiet regarding the matter, she has been making posts on her social media accounts which seem to suggest that she has, in fact, severed ties with the WWE.

On recent Instagram posts, Eva has been promoting a new business partnership that she is apparently involved in. It’s also worth noting that she has not posted anything related to her status with WWE in quite some time.

What's next:

All eyes are fixed upon the city of Orlando this weekend and if Eva is not going to be anywhere around it, then she will be deemed irrelevant to the WWE Universe. There are typically a number of cuts shortly after WrestleMania each year, look for her name to be called in that process.

Author's take:

I have always felt like Eva Marie was using the WWE as a catalyst for another career in entertainment.

Unfortunately, things are lining up to prove my thoughts correct. Eva has been handed so many second chance opportunities but has yet to deliver a single penny on the dollar that WWE has invested in trying to make her a legitimate star.

Her departure is long overdue in my opinion. Good riddance.
