Rumour: WWE to change Cena winning plan at MITB; updates on Barrett's injury and second Ladder match
After sending an email list to their serve, WWE News Slam, which had a sneak peak poster of SummerSlam, WWE have been reportedly upset about the fact that Amazon had published it. The early sneak peek revealed a possible main event match for the pay-per-view between John Cena and the returning Brock Lesnar, who was last seen in the ring breaking The Undertaker’s immortal streak at Wrestlemania.
Here is a look at the poster.
But rumours about a possible feud between the two superstars were already circulating around before Money In The Bank PPV which led to many believing that Cena was the out and out favourite to claim the vacant WWE titles in the Ladder match.
But the word now suggests that the WWE may deviate from their initial plans of Cena winning the title at MITB even after all the hype created through their mailing list as they feel like they need to change the finish.
However, the Cena – Lesnar feud at SummerSlam will be on the cards as planned and the WWE World Heavyweight title will be on the line. Since Daniel Bryan is not expected to return any time before the summer event occurs, it is most likely that the title will change hands at Battleground with Cena claiming the titles against the superstar who wins the title at MITB.
Meanwhile, the latest unofficial word on Bad News Barrett’s injury is that he won’t be recovering in time for his Ladder match at MITB. And WWE, instead of replacing the vacant spot, are planning to go ahead with the six scheduled superstars instead of seven for the match.
