NJPW Rumors: Ryback set to join the Bullet Club?
The Bullet Club is all set to have a new member and from the looks of it, it could be none other than ‘The Big Guy’ Ryback. Bullet Club leader Kenny Omega tweeted recently about how the Bullet Club had finished the paperwork in regards to signing their newest member who will be unveiled soon.
Omega’s somewhat cryptic Tweet said that the new member would ‘devour all competition’ which looks set to be a huge hint. The ‘devouring’ is in tone with Ryback’s “Feed me more” gimmick in WWE.
Ryback left the WWE in August after a very public contract dispute and has since changed his legal name to Ryback Reeves so that he can still continue using the Ryback name. Ryback complained about the lack of opportunities during his time at WWE but that shouldn’t be a problem if he signs for New Japan. The Japanese fans love their hard-hitting foreign monsters and Ryback fits the bill perfectly.
The Bullet Club has undergone major changes since the beginning of the year with AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson all signing for the WWE. Following Styles’ departure, Omega stepped up to the mantle and has taken the Club from strength to strength with new signings Tonga Roa, Adam Page and former ROH World Champion Adam Cole. Signing Ryback will only strengthen the Bullet Club further.
Kenny Omega has himself had a great year, transitioning from the Junior Heavyweight to the Heavyweight Division following Styles’ departure. He’s also held the IWGP Intercontinental Championship this year before winning the 2016 G1 Climax tournament, becoming the first gaijin to do so. Omega will face IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada next January at Wrestle Kingdom 11.
