A look at the salaries of WWE Executives; Triple H's earnings since 2011
- WWE Executives: The current base salaries of WWE executives are as follows:
- CEO and Chairman: Vince McMahon – $1,184,500
- Chief Financial Officer and Chief Strategy Officer: George Barrios – $700,000
- Executive Producer: Kevin Dunn – $700,000
- WWE Studios President: Michael Luisi – $600,000
- Executive VP of Talent, Live Events and Creative: Paul “Triple H” Levesque – $550,000
Although, along with this, Triple H also earns $1,000,000 per year from talent contract.
The actual compensation which was paid including stock grants to Vince in 2013 was $1,724,958. Vince however was not awarded with the additional stock grants as he already owns a huge percentage of stocks. Vince’s earnings has been fluctuating over the past couple of years, as he earner $2,456,359 in 2012, while his earnings in 2011 were $1,111,395. However in 2011, Vince did not earn any money from profit incentives and that has made the difference.
In 2012, the level of profits needed was lowered so that the senior management’s incentives could kick in, which helped the WWE Chairman to earn $1.3 million. Even though profits plummeted in 2013, but the executives were still paid, because they had lowered their expectations and also they did not consider the WWE Network start up money against them.
Compensation for other members were:
- $1,378,197 for Barrios
- $2,511,331 for Triple H
- $1,744,184 for Dunn
- $1,403,228 for Luisi
When the current stock price is taken into account, the compensation for Dunn would be closer to $2.3 million. Stephanie McMahon gross income last year was $778,394 of which $325,000 came from on-air talent.
- Triple H: In 2013, Triple H as a wrestler earned $1,868,639 through match pay-offs and merchandise licensing. He had ,made $2,912,231 in 2012, $488,482 out of which were from the salary he received as an executive. A further $305,000 was pocketed as profit sharing bonus, while $2,118,769 was made for being a wrestler.
In contrast, he had made a total of $336,538 as an executive, while $74,100 in stock grants and $2,074,032 as a wrestler. He had no profit sharing, while his total earning in 2011 was $2,484,680.
In 2013, Triple H earned $1,868,639 from his role as an authority figure on TV along with merchandise sales and his five matches during the year. He had wrestled Brock twice while he had faced Curtis Axel thrice on RAW, two out of which were contested on the same night.
In contrast, his $2,118,769 which he earned in 2012 as a wrestler, was a combination of his work as a figure of authority and three matches. The matches included one at Madison Square Garden live event along with a pay-per-view match against The Undertaker and Lesnar.
His $2,074,042 in 2011, which came from wrestling included nine different matches. While Triple H’s downside during all these years as a performer was $1 million. Whatever, he earns above these are from pay-per-view pay-offs and merchandising.
