Sami Zayn hints at big plans for next year, addresses UK fans and more
In a recent crowd address at WWE NXT’s Takeover London tour, Sami Zayn threw fresh light on several topics including glimpses of what WWE has in store for the fans in 2016, his return and more – reports dailywrestlingnews.com.
As the recently returned Zayn took to the stage, the crowd welcomed him with the “ole!” chant before the wrestler addressed the crowd stating that his career has been full of dreams turning into nightmares just when the former is about to come true.
Zayn gave an example the example of winning the NXT Title and facing John Cena on RAW, while also stating that the cycle was broken when he faced the crowd that night, labelling it as a dream.
The 31-year-old praised the London fans, calling them a ‘hot crowd’ while also confessing that the people behind the scenes appreciated the atmosphere too. His speech was appreciated by huge ‘NXT’ chant, which was further encouraged by Sami.
The wrestler also thanked London as well as the other destinations NXT will travel to on their tour of the UK, while also stating that their trip to Europe wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the UK fans – who were labelled as ‘rabid best’ by the wrestler.
Lastly, Sami stated that WWE had some big events in store for 2016, some of which featured the wrestler.
Sami Zayn, whose real name is Rami Sebei, is of Syrian origin and started his wrestling career in his native Canada before moving across various franchises, before moving to NXT back in 2013.
Zayn has been extremely well received in WWE’s NXT brand, and besides winning a Slammy Award for Superstar of the Year in 2014, also held the NXT Championship.
