What’s the story?

In the latest instalment of The Wrestling Compadres Podcast, WWE Smackdown Live Superstar Samoa Joe spoke about the in-ring return of Daniel Bryan, who recently made his return to the squared circle at WrestleMania 34.

In case you didn’t know…

After being medically cleared to compete for the first time in well over two years, Bryan competed in his return match at WrestleMania 34.

He teamed up with the Smackdown Live commissioner Shane McMahon as they battled the notorious duo of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at The Grandest Stage of Them All.

As noted, in New Orleans a few weeks ago, the duo of Bryan and Shane O' Mac outclassed the team of Owens and Zayn as it was the former Smackdown Live General Manager himself who picked up the win for his side after making Zayn tap out to the Yes Lock.

The heart of the matter

According to Joe, seeing Bryan make his official WWE in-ring comeback is definitely an awesome feeling.

Apparently, the Samoan Submission Machine believes that his former Ring of Honor colleague is certainly a very diligent and determined guy who has been fighting for years in order to be cleared to compete in the squared circle yet again.

"I take it in kind of a mixed bag. Obviously, I think it is awesome that he is back. It's one thing I say about him is that he is a very diligent and determined guy. He has fought this for years to be cleared, and I know he wouldn't do it if he didn't think it was something he shouldn't be doing."

What’s next?

Joe is currently slated to compete for the WWE Intercontinental Championship this Friday at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia, whereas, Bryan will be competing in the first ever 50-man Royal Rumble match instead.

Author’s Take

I definitely agree with Joe’s statement here, because Bryan, in my opinion, is one of the most passionate wrestlers the Pro Wrestling industry has ever seen and seeing him make such a dramatic comeback is certainly very inspiring.
