Scott Hall removed from GFW roster, Rey Mysterio returns to PPV, ROH re-signs star, more
- As noted yesterday, Scott Hall was escorted from an independent wrestling event this past weekend. Promoters claimed that Hall was too intoxicated to perform at the show. Since that story broke, Global Force Wrestling has removed Hall from their roster page. In case you missed it yesterday, footage of the incident is below, courtesy of TMZ.
- Ring of Honor announced today that they have signed Quinn "Moose" Ojinnaka to a new contract. Negotiations wrapped up this weekend in Toronto as Ojinnaka signed his new contract. Moose will face Michael Elgin and Roderick Strong at the ROH pay-per-view on Friday, June 19th from New York City.
- This Sunday, AAA along with Victoria Cervezas will present the first-ever Lucha Libre World Cup live on internet Pay Per View. This will be Rey Mysterio's first PPV event since leaving WWE. He will team with 2 other former WWE luchadores in Alberto El Patrón and Myzteziz (the former Sin Cara and Mistico).
The event will feature an English feed with Matt Striker and Vampiro calling the play-by-play. The event is available exclusively at luchaworldcup.com. The event starts at 6pm ET this Sunday and airs live from Mexico City's Palacio de los Deportes.
