What’s the story?

During a recent media appearance on KFM 94.5 radio station in South Africa, current WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins provided an update on his Shield brethren and former tag team partner Dean Ambrose, who has been sidelined for a while due to an injury.

In case you didn’t know…

Back in December of 2017, on an episode of Monday Night Raw, Ambrose suffered a brutal beatdown at the hands Samoa Joe, Sheamus, and Cesaro and the assault eventually led to Ambrose suffering a triceps injury.

Shortly afterwards, it was reported by doctors that the Lunatic Fringe would be sidelined due to the triceps injury for a total of nine months.

The heart of the matter

While speaking to KFM 94.5 radio station in Cape Town, South Africa during WWE’s on-going tour, Rollins stated that his fellow Shield brethren Ambrose had some pretty extensive triceps surgery earlier in the year, which probably means that The Lunatic Fringe is still currently on the mend and focusing on his rehab. However, The Architect did claim that Ambrose will return to the WWE better than ever, most notably during summertime or maybe even late spring.

“He had some pretty extensive triceps surgery earlier this year so he’s definitely still on the mend and rehabbing. But he’ll be back and better than ever, you wait. Summertime, maybe late Spring. Somewhere in there, I think, whenever that wily guy gets back to normal”- Rollins stated.

What’s next?

As per Rollins’ claim, it seems like Ambrose will make his WWE return sometime during the SummerSlam 2018 pay-per-view, however, nothing has been confirmed just yet and we promise to keep you updated regarding the medical condition of The Lunatic Fringe.

Author’s Take

Following the conclusion of Superstar Shake-up, the two rosters of Monday Night Raw and Smackdown Live is definitely looking stacked and the return of Ambrose could very well be another major booster for the WWE as well.
