Seth Rollins to return after 42 days for major confrontation, CM Punk gets revenge on bitter rival? - 5 Surprises that could happen on WWE RAW

The upcoming edition of WWE RAW will air live from Portland, Oregon, and there could be several surprises on the show. CM Punk will be making his return to the red brand for the first time since he was brutally attacked by Drew McIntyre earlier this month. The two stars will square off in a Hell in a Cell match next month at WWE Bad Blood.

The Judgment Day's JD McDonagh and Finn Balor will defend their World Tag Team Championships against The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) tomorrow night. Bronson Reed will be squaring off against Braun Strowman, and Damian Priest will face Dominik Mysterio in a singles match.

Listed below are five surprises that could happen on this week's episode of WWE RAW.

Damian Priest was once a prominent member of The Judgment Day, but everything changed last month at WWE SummerSlam. Finn Balor cost The Archer of Infamy the World Heavyweight Championship at the Premium Live Event by interfering in his match against Gunther.

The Judgment Day will finally defend their tag team titles tomorrow night on RAW against The New Day after capturing them on June 24. Priest could get revenge on Balor by costing his former faction the World Tag Team Championships on WWE RAW. Balor and Priest will be squaring off next month in a singles match at Bad Blood.

#4. Dominik Mysterio could pull off a major upset

Dominik Mysterio will be squaring off against Damian Priest in a singles match tomorrow night on WWE RAW. Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest (The Terror Twins) defeated Liv Morgan and Dominik in a mixed tag team match at Bash in Berlin.

Women's World Champion Liv Morgan could potentially get involved in the match. Rhea Ripley may also be ringside, and Dirty Dom may capitalize on the distractions. Mysterio could pull off the upset and defeat Priest on the Monday Night show, giving the 27-year-old one of the biggest wins of his career so far.

#3. Seth Rollins could return to get revenge on Bronson Reed

Bronson Reed brutally attacked Seth Rollins on the RAW following SummerSlam on August 5. The Visionary served as the Special Guest Referee for the singles match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre at the Premium Live Event last month. Punk hit Rollins with a GTS during the match, and the former World Heavyweight Champion attempted to confront the 45-year-old last month on RAW.

However, Bronson Reed came out of nowhere and attacked Seth Rollins. He hit the veteran with multiple Tsunami Splashes, and Rollins was taken out of the arena in an ambulance. The 38-year-old could return to RAW tomorrow night after a 42-day hiatus and cost Bronson Reed his singles match against Braun Strowman.

#2. Bron Breakker could attack Jey Uso

Jey Uso defeated Pete Dunne, Ilja Dragunov, and Braun Strowman in a Fatal Four-Way match in the main event of last week's episode of WWE RAW. The victory earned him a future title match against Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker.

Following the match, Bron Breakker and Jey Uso had a confrontation at the end of RAW. The champion could be planning to attack Main Event Jey on tomorrow's show to weaken the popular star ahead of their Intercontinental Championship match.

#1. CM Punk could set a trap for Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre brutally attacked CM Punk on the September 2 edition of the red brand. Punk defeated The Scottish Warrior in a Strap Match at WWE Bash in Berlin and made it known that he had his sights set on the World Heavyweight Championship following the match.

Punk may cut a promo from backstage during tomorrow night's show and say he wants to meet Drew McIntyre in the ring. The former AEW star could then attack McIntyre from behind during his entrance and get revenge on his bitter rival before they square off in a Hell in a Cell match next month at WWE Bad Blood.
