Shayna Baszler's terrifying submission game has earned her the respect, and fear, of the NXT locker room

What's the story?

Former NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler is a widely recognized submission specialist. In a recent Instagram, The Queen of Spades took time to show this while also honoring the legacy of the Hart Dynasty and Jim Neidhart, displaying how one could lock in the sharpshooter in a legit MMA style match.

In case you didn't know...

On her Instagram page, you may find posts about Shayna Baszler's dog, her friends in the wrestling and MMA businesses including the Four Horsewomen, among other things. However, the Queen of Spades has a long-running series of videos regarding submission moves. Back in July, Baszler took a look at the effectiveness of AJ Styles' Calf Crusher. Her fellow Four Horsewomen member Jessamyn Duke is often her partner in these videos and is more often than not left tapping out to Baszler's Kirifuda Clutch at the end.

Recently, Baszler dedicated the latest installment of this series to Natalya, Jim Neidhart, and the Hart Dynasty.

The heart of the matter

On August 30, Baszler and Duke again decided to show the effectiveness of a famous submission hold in an MMA style fight. This time, the subject of the lesson was Bret Hart's iconic Sharpshooter.

Baszler used the Sharpshooter as a counter to someone attempting to fight off a leg lock submission, showing two different ways to lock in the move. As usual, the session wrapped up with Duke tapping out to the Kirifuda Clutch. However, the video ended with a picture of Baszler along with Natalya Neidhart and her father, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart.

In the description, Baszler stated that the latest installment of her series was in tribute of the Hart Dynasty, Natalya, and the Anvil.

What's next?

Shayna Baszler lost the NXT Women's Championship to Kairi Sane back at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV. She looks to regain the gold soon, though, and will more than likely get her rematch at WWE Evolution, which takes place on October 28.
