Shayna Baszler to defend her NXT Women's Championship against Rhea Ripley
WWE NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler is slated to defend her title against Rhea Ripley two weeks from now on the December 18 edition of NXT. The news was confirmed by WWE after Shayna Baszler and the two MMA Horsewomen took out Ripley inside the ring.

On tonight's episode of the Black and Gold brand, Rhea Ripley was set to square off against Dakota Kai who recently turned heel and turned her back on Ripley's team at NXT TakeOver: WarGames. Before her match, Kai insulted Ripley and Mia Yim. She also revealed that she was the one who attacked Yim at WarGames to take her out of the match and called her a "hood rat".
Ripley came out for her scheduled match against Kai and admired Kai's cleverness for setting them up at WarGames. The Nightmare also gave Kai a taste of her own medicine by having Mia Yim come out to get her retribution on The Captain of Team Kick.
While the HBIC was beating down Kai all over the NXT Arena, The Queen of Spades came out with Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir and ganged up on Ripley. Baszler then put on the Kirifuda Clutch on Ripley to make her pass out while Duke and Shafir held her down on the bottom ropes.
Now, the Championship match has been made official and it remains to be seen if Ripley can take away the NXT Women's Championship from Baszler's clutch and become the first Superstar to hold the NXT UK Women's Championship and the NXT Women's Championship.
