Shock betrayal, Charlotte Flair's epic return? - 4 possible opponents for Nia Jax at WWE Bash in Berlin

WWE Bash in Berlin is rapidly approaching. This will be the Stamford-based company's first-ever premium live event that will take place in Germany.

As of this writing, only three matches have officially been confirmed for the show. This includes two World Title bouts, plus Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan taking on Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley in a Mixed Tag Team Match.

While it isn't yet clear what other matches will be added to the card, there is a very real possibility that one of them might feature Nia Jax. Jax became the WWE Women's Champion at SummerSlam by defeating Bayley. Given how much she has improved in the ring, the win is arguably quite deserved.

Deserved or not, however, a champion must defend their gold. Supposing Nia will put her belt on the line at Bash in Berlin, who might she wrestle? This article will take a look at a handful of possible challengers for the reigning Queen of the Ring if she competes in Germany.

Below are four possible opponents for Nia Jax at WWE Bash in Berlin.

#4. Bayley could be seeking a rematch

Bayley is one of the most accomplished female stars in WWE history. She is a Grand Slam Champion, former Miss Money in the Bank, and even won the 2024 Women's Royal Rumble Match. Unfortunately, she has had some bad luck recently.

The Role Model was the WWE Women's Champion until her defeat at SummerSlam. Prior to that, Bayley had successfully defended the belt against Piper Niven, Naomi, and Tiffany Stratton.

Given that The Role Model arguably only lost due to The Buff Barbie's interference, she could end up having a rematch with Nia at Bash in Berlin. Bayley certainly deserves another shot and has provided that she can go toe-to-toe with The Irresistible Force.

#3. Michin could be up for a title match

Mia "Michin" Yim is an underrated female performer. She started her career on the independent scene and found success in TNA Wrestling before eventually joining WWE through NXT and the Mae Young Classic. Today, she is part of the main roster.

While her time in WWE has had various ups and downs, Michin has had a strong 2024. Not only is she regularly featured on Friday Night SmackDown, but she has also been heavily showcased on NXT. Yim even defeated Tiffany Stratton recently.

Given the push Michin has had, it would make sense for her to join the World Title picture. While she might not defeat Nia, the veteran would make for a great challenger who makes the champion look strong while also being elevated in the process.

#2. Tiffany Stratton could betray Nia Jax and announce a Money in the Bank cash-in

Speaking of Tiffany Stratton, The Buff Barbie is the future of WWE. She made her main roster debut as part of the 2024 Women's Royal Rumble Match and went on to get extremely popular despite being a heel.

Stratton won the 2024 Women's Money in the Bank contract, which means she has a World Championship opportunity at any time for up to one year. Nia Jax is aware of this fact, however. Despite their budding friendship, the champion warned Tiffany to not cash-in on her or there would be serious consequences.

That may still happen, however. Tiffany could reveal during a segment tonight on SmackDown that she intends to cash-in her briefcase on Nia. She could then specifically note that she is cashing in on Jax at Bash in Berlin. This would be an honorable cash-in and make the already popular star officially a babyface.

#1. Charlotte Flair could return to WWE to challenge Queen Nia

Charlotte Flair is an extremely decorated female star. While Bayley is the first-ever Grand Slam Champion, Charlotte has 14 World Title reigns under her belt thus far. Those wins don't even include the Women's Tag Team Titles or NXT Women's Championship.

The Queen has been absent from WWE programming all year. Last December, Charlotte went one-on-one with Asuka. The two were having a good match when something went wrong on the ropes and Flair injured her leg.

Fast forward around nine months and Flair is routinely posting workout videos and seems close to a return. Supposing that Charlotte is indeed ready for an in-ring return, she could appear on SmackDown tonight and make the challenge for Bash in Berlin. Can a returning Charlotte defeat the dominant Nia?
