Shocking reunion with Roman Reigns, unexpected attack - 4 ways Seth Rollins could return to WWE
Seth Rollins is one of the greatest WWE stars of the modern era. He first joined the company's main roster as a member of The Shield. Over time, he went on to become a multi-time world champion and even headlined WrestleMania 40.
Unfortunately, The Visionary has had a tough year. He was injured early on during a match with Jinder Mahal and many believed that he could have missed WrestleMania. He fought through the pain but then took time off after The Show Of Shows.
Seth then returned to television in time to compete at Money in the Bank against Damian Priest. From there, he served as a special guest referee at SummerSlam but was again taken off of television, this time through an attack by Bronson Reed.
The Visionary will inevitably be returning to television in the future, but the big question is how he could show up. This article will take a look at a handful of different ways that Seth could return to World Wrestling Entertainment in the near future.
Below are four ways Seth Rollins could return to WWE.
#4. The Visionary could challenge Bronson Reed to a match at an upcoming premium live event
As noted, Seth Rollins is currently away from WWE television. This is because he was viciously and brutally assaulted by one of the most dangerous men in all of World Wrestling Entertainment today: Big Bronson Reed.
The big man stopped Seth Rollins from fighting CM Punk or Drew McIntyre, and instead, he laid The Visionary out with his finisher multiple times over. The big WWE star hit Tsunami after Tsunami on Rollins and the former world champion hasn't been seen on television ever since.
Rollins could return as a surprise on Monday Night RAW and grab a microphone. From there, he could address Bronson Reed's assault and proceed to challenge him to a match, perhaps at Bad Blood or Crown Jewel depending on when the former world champion returns.
#3. He could sneak attack Bronson Reed
There could be a different way that Seth Rollins approaches the Bronson Reed assault from WWE Monday Night RAW. The Visionary has likely been stewing over the attack and may want to return the favor.
As a result, instead of simply coming out to the ring and calling Big Bronson out, Rollins could instead get violent immediately, even if RAW General Manager Adam Pearce isn't happy. In fact, this doesn't even have to happen in a WWE ring.
Seth could potentially make his return backstage or even in the parking lot. He could nail Reed with a steel pipe or a chair, leveling the man. This could also allow Seth to get his licks in before security and staff inevitably pull him away from the Australian.
#2. Seth Rollins could return to WWE by attacking CM Punk
Just before Bronson Reed shockingly laid Seth Rollins out, he was focused on business of his own. More specifically, the former WWE Champion was attempting to fight CM Punk in the middle of the ring.
Punk has long been feuding with Drew McIntyre, but he and Seth have had issues ever since Punk returned at WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2023. Punk and Rollins were seemingly on a collision course when The Voice Of The Voiceless bailed to chase down McIntyre. Before Seth could respond, Bronson attacked.
When Seth returns to television, he could ignore Bronson for the time being and instead focus on CM Punk. After believing that Punk cost him a world title win at Money in the Bank and after being on the receiving end of a GTS at SummerSlam, Rollins may live up to his promise to hurt Punk once and for all.
#1. He could help Roman Reigns against The Bloodline
Seth Rollins' introduction to WWE was through The Shield. The stable featured Seth, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns. They rode high and dominated for a while, but then Rollins shockingly blasted Roman and Dean with a steel chair in 2014.
In the decade since then, Seth and Roman have made up and fought time and time again. They've most recently been at each other's throats, but that could change now that Roman Reigns is back in WWE as a babyface and feuding with The Bloodline.
In what could be both an epic moment, but also a shocking one, Seth could return to help The Tribal Chief fight Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa. Two-thirds of The Shield taking on the new Bloodline would make for fascinating television provided Roman and Seth could manage to trust each other.
