SK's Take on the US Title picture, heading into WrestleMania 34
This week's edition of SmackDown Live has just concluded, and we have a lot on our mind at this very moment. What is the next chapter of the Shane McMahon-Daniel Bryan saga? Who'll be Charlotte Flair's next challenger? What's the landscape of the US title picture going to look like in coming months?
We shall attempt to answer at least one of the questions for you here, WWE Universe. The fate of the US Title will be our topic of discussion for right now. Our analysis will be primarily based on the events that occurred in the aftermath of this week's US Title match.
To refresh your memory, Bobby Roode clashed with Rusev on SmackDown Live for the United States Championship and even managed to win. But he had little time to celebrate because Randy Orton would emerge from 'outta nowhere' delivering RKOs to everyone in the ring.
Yes, Roode, English and Rusev all felt the wrath of the viper. And that leads us to think that come Fastlane, all four of these men will compete in a multi-man match for the US title. WWE would want to book an exciting match like the one we just mentioned, to get fans pumped on the road to WrestleMania.
Each of the men involved can benefit from this program. Bobby Roode is riding high on a wave of momentum, and he can get to carry the same into this program as well. Randy Orton has felt a little out of the mix recently, and this can help revive his career.
And what of Rusev Day? Well, they're the hottest act on SmackDown Live right now, so this sets the stage for a quadruple turn. Rusev and English could possibly go babyface, while Roode and Orton could go heel.
Shane McMahon has said time and again, that WWE listens to what the fans want. This is what the fans want! Moreover, this is what the performers want as well. Both Orton and Roode seem to do better as 'bad guys' anyway.
And what happens on the grandest stage of all? We think that Roode and Orton should compete in singles competition there. And yes, Roode should go over. A new star should be created on the grand stage, as Orton passes the torch to the former TNA legend.
This is our analysis of the situation, dearest readers. Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
