SK's Take on why Brock Lesnar will drop the WWE Universal Title before WrestleMania 34

<p>
Is this finally Braun Strowman's time for gold?B

Brock Lesnar has practically held the WWE Universal Title hostage to his patchy schedule, meaning that we don't get to see it being defended as much as we'd like.

Now, while Lesnar's legitimacy as a talent and bonafide Superstar has kept the Title somewhat relevant despite his less-than-ideal itinerary, at some point, enough is enough.

At some point, everyone is going to ignore all the star power that Lesnar brings to the table and demand for the Title to be defended on a more regular basis. Or at least, to have it conferred on someone who will be able to defend it regularly.

Which is where Braun Strowman comes in.

Having already been made to look like an absolute beast and then meekly lose the WWE Universal Title match against Brock Lesnar at No Mercy, Royal Rumble plays host to Strowman's second shot at Lesnar's Title.

And unlike Samoa Joe, who also had consecutive shots at Lesnar's gold, the WWE Universe has unanimously bought into Strowman's aura as an all-conquering monster.

Well, it's quite hard not to when the WWE books him flipping over ambulances and tearing down trusses.

But that the WWE has seen fit to book him as strong as ever going into his second showdown against Lesnar as well indicates one of two things; either that they didn't learn their lesson from how much it affected all the momentum they had built up for him when he lost to Lesnar the first time or that they're planning for a Title change before WrestleMania 34.

Given their track record, it's easy to think that it's the former...but what if the WWE is angling for a Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman match at WrestleMania 34 after all?

For one, it would genuinely be a match that everyone wants to see given how much chemistry the two hard-hitting Superstars have and secondly, it would make for a nice break in monotony since everyone who knows anything about pro wrestling seems to think that a Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns match is a shoo-in for WrestleMania 34.
