Slaying a monster; pleading with a friend? 5 ways Seth Rollins can return to WWE following his latest public appearance

If you didn't know it already, WWE star Seth Rollins is a huge fan of the NFL's Chicago Bears. The former World Heavyweight Champion grew up in Iowa, and one of the closest teams to his home is the Bears.

Throughout the season, The Visionary can be found on X pining over the ups and downs of his favorite squad. Rollins has been off of RAW since August following a series of Tsunami splashes from Bronson Reed.

During his absence from WWE, The Architect recently appeared in Indianapolis for the Bears' Week 3 showdown with the Colts. When he's ready to get back into the ring, Seth Rollins can return to WWE in one of the next five ways.

#5. He emerges after the title match between Jey Uso and Bron Breakker

Jey Uso has a huge Intercontinental Championship match with Bron Breakker on RAW. Breakker just won the title at SummerSlam, so he likely won't be dropping it so soon.

The former NXT Champ could beat Uso and attack him after the match to further assert his dominance. Rollins might be a good foil for the young titleholder. The two faced off when Rollins held the World Heavyweight title and Breakker was still in NXT.

If The Visionary is pivoting to challenging for RAW's secondary title, he could make his presence felt by either saving Jey or confronting Breakker after the match.

#4. Retribution against Bronson Reed

The reason Seth Rollins isn't on RAW is because of Bronson Reed. Reed's first defiant squash involved Rollins as he attempted to confront CM Punk. The former North American Champion blindsided The Visionary, hitting him with several Tsunami splashes.

That attack put Rollins out of commission. It didn't stop Reed from targeting other WWE stars as he pancaked both the Miz and R-Truth with splashes. Braun Strowman has stood up to The Aussie Monster but hasn't been able to put him away.

Rollins could blindside Reed in the backstage area or in the ring. He'll want revenge on the monster for putting him out of action. Returning the favor with a neutralizer like a chair could accomplish that.

#3. Going back to the CM Punk/Drew McIntyre feud

The last time Rollins was on RAW, he was about to have words with CM Punk for costing him his last shot at regaining the World Heavyweight Championship.

Since Punk interfered once McIntyre made the match a triple threat, Priest's win cost Rollins his chance.

Punk and The Scottish Warrior will meet inside Hell in a Cell at WWE Bad Blood. If Rollins doesn't return before then, he could pop up during the heated contest.

Since Punk cost him a huge opportunity, The Visionary could return the favor at Bad Blood. It would end The Best in the World's feud with McIntyre by providing a seamless transition to one with Seth Rollins.

#2. Seth Rollins goes for Gunther

Gunther has refused to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Sami Zayn. He doesn't feel Zayn deserves the opportunity, even though he's the last person to pin The Ring General.

Ludwig Kaiser and Gunther attacked Zayn last week but he was able to survive. If the numbers game factors into another confrontation, Rollins could return to save Zayn. The two have been close over the last year.

By saving his friend, The Visionary could also throw his hat back into the running for a shot at Gunther. CM Punk ruined his last attempt to regain the title, so his pursuit of the championship isn't over with the title around the waist of a new champ.

#1. The uneasy alliance between Undisputed WWE Champions

The tenuous alliance between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns is more out of necessity rather than respect. Both stars want to end Solo Sikoa's reign of terror since WrestleMania.

Sikoa usurped The Bloodline and the title of Tribal Chief from his cousin. He brutalized Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman. In that time, he's also repeatedly gone after Cody Rhodes. He wants to bring the Undisputed WWE title back to the Bloodline at any cost.

Rollins and Rhodes teamed up to combat the Bloodline on the Road to WrestleMania. Like Kevin Owens, Rollins must have strong reservations about Cody agreeing to team with Reigns at Bad Blood. He could address this in an in-ring promo or head to SmackDown in a shock appearance to do the same.
