SmackDown Preview: Faction reunites, former IC champion returns from injury
It's the first episode of SmackDown Live after WWE Super ShowDown 2019. While RAW was a bit of a disappointment, we don't expect the same of the blue brand. If anything, we expect a stronger show, though we do feel that the Wildcard rule has done a lot of damage to SmackDown Live.
Either way, SmackDown Live tonight looks to be quite an interesting episode as we head closer towards the next PPV - WWE Stomping Grounds. Last week, SmackDown ended with the shocking sight of Goldberg and The Undertaker going face-to-face. The match, as expected, didn't live up to expectations.
But novelty attractions aside, last week saw Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods defeat Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Alexa Bliss became the next #1 contender to the SmackDown Women's title while Roman Reigns was attacked by Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre. Here's what you need to look forward to on SmackDown Live this week!
#4. Bayley looks to rebound from RAW
In the latest WWE NEWS, Bayley had another disappointing outing at her hometown of San Jose, California. Who can forget two years ago when she was humiliated by Alexa Bliss and lost the RAW Women's Championship to her in her hometown?
Last night on RAW, she suffered further humiliation when she was pinned by Lacey Evans when teaming up with fellow-Horsewoman Becky Lynch. Either way, it's time for the SmackDown Women's Champion to rebound from the loss and she's going to look to do that as soon as tonight. Will Bayley manage to get one over or will Alexa Bliss come out and humiliate Bayley as she did in 2017?
Bayley had zero comeuppance then, so hopefully, it doesn't turn out to be the same way this time around.
