The Raw Commissioner said, “He was invading their territories, and getting better television coverage. He thought he had the better product, and ultimately, he did, and they didn't take to kindly to that.”
“He told me a great story about a threat from a notorious gangster and being in this room, this old hotel, with the dark wooden panel walls and this big oversized man with a very unattractive face. He was threatening my Dad's life and my Dad was willing to stand up to him and all these different people to make his dreams come true,” she added.
Talking about the popularity of the WWE on social media, McMahon claimed that they trend on Twitter throughout the year and their channel is the most viewed one on YouTube. “We trend on Twitter 52 weeks a year. We're the No. 1 sports channel on YouTube, with 12 billion views a year,” she said.
During the interview, Stephanie was also questioned about her ‘heel’ portrayal on television. She said that it was a part of her job and it was more like performing in an opera or a ballet.
“When you see people booing me, it’s good. It means I’m doing my job.We have a very passionate fan base. Our fans are part of our show. It’s really more akin to performance art—no different than Shakespeare, opera, or ballet,” Stephanie McMahon was quoted as saying.
Recently, there was talk about her releasing a memoir about herself this year; however, she said that it has been postponed for now as it is the first book coming out of her family and needs to include much more.
Stephanie explained, “I’m personally reassessing. It was originally supposed to be a memoir. But as the first book from my family, it needed to be so much more. They went through so much to grow the business.”
