Stephanie McMahon to replace Nick Aldis & punish major star after being mentioned by him? Potential WWE SmackDown twist explored
Stephanie McMahon has been associated with WWE for the majority of her life. She chose to walk the same path her father, Vince McMahon and grandfather took as part of the Stamford-based promotion.
Amid WWE's sale to the Endeavor Group early in 2023, Stephanie McMahon announced a break from the Stamford-based company and resigned from all her positions. She stated she wanted to focus on her family and daughters.
Meanwhile, WWE fans might see Stephanie McMahon back in the company soon. Cody Rhodes called out Kevin Owens on the latest episode of SmackDown for brutally injuring Randy Orton. Instead, GM Nick Aldis came out and informed The American Nightmare that The Prizefighter had crossed the line by attacking The Viper and was banned from entering the ring before things got solved backstage.
Shortly after, Kevin Owens posted a video on his official X account, tagging Triple H, Randy Orton, Nick Aldis, The Rock, TKO, and notably, Stephanie McMahon, expressing his frustration. In a shocking twist, fans may see Stephanie McMahon making her much-awaited return and replacing Nick Aldis as SmackDown General Manager. She could then punish Kevin Owens for seriously injuring Randy Orton.
Triple H provides a major update on Stephanie McMahon in WWE
Earlier this year, Triple H, the Chief Content Officer of WWE, was asked about Stephanie McMahon's status in the company. In response, The Game revealed that his wife currently holds no official position in WWE and also planted seeds for her potential return.
“She does not have an official role right now, but I can tell you this: she loves this. Absolutely loves it. Sometimes harder to love it, and sometimes easy to love it. It's easy to love it again for her. She's enjoying watching it. No official role right now. Right now her official role is that she's enjoying our kids getting too old too fast. But we'll see; we'll see what the future holds. I would expect to see her around because she loves it and she's enjoying being around it again,” he said. [H/T: WrestleTalk]
It will be interesting to see if Stephanie actually returns to the Stamford-based company in the near future and what role she might have.
