Stephanie McMahon to return as a heel and fire current General Manager? 4 Ways WWE can bring back The Billion Dollar Princess

For decades, pro wrestling, especially in the Northeast, has been associated with WWE and the McMahon family. Jess McMahon founded the promotion now known as World Wrestling Entertainment 71 years ago before his son Vince McMahon Sr. took over.

From there, the infamous Mr. McMahon took over and elevated the company to new heights while also having his fair share of controversies. Many expected Shane or Stephanie McMahon to take over the promotion after Vince's retirement. However, that didn't happen.

Now, there isn't a McMahon running the company. Triple H, the husband of Stephanie, is in charge of creative, but The Billion Dollar Princess and The Prodigal Son are both out of the promotion.

This article will take a look at a handful of possible directions for Stephanie McMahon if she were to return to television soon. Stephanie is a great on-screen character, so whether she is working behind the scenes or not, there are plenty of great on-camera options for the former Women's Champion.

Below are four ways WWE can bring back Stephanie McMahon:

#4. She could guest host a major Premium Live Event in 2025

WWE had an incredible 2024 in terms of Premium Live Events. While there are still three main roster PLEs left to take place, the bulk of them are now over. This includes multiple stadium events and international shows.

The year 2025 is already shaping up to be equally big. Not only are major events such as the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania already announced, but WWE SummerSlam will become a two-night event next summer.

If Stephanie McMahon does return to the company, she could do so as a special guest host for one of these major shows, with the 2025 Royal Rumble perhaps making the most sense. Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill are hosting Bad Blood, so why can't Stephanie host The Royal Rumble?

#3. Stephanie McMahon could fire Nick Aldis and become a heel General Manager

WWE brought back the General Manager concept last year after Vince McMahon got rid of it around half a decade ago. Triple H appointed Nick Aldis as SmackDown's Authority Figure, elevating Adam Pearce to the same position on RAW. Meanwhile, Ava took over the day-to-day operations of NXT.

While each of the General Managers offers something different to the WWE Universe, there is a belief among the audience that Nick Aldis does the best work. Due to that, Stephanie McMahon could get a lot of heat if she were to remove the SmackDown GM.

The Billion Dollar Princess could return as a heel and fire Nick, taking over as the new SmackDown Authority Figure. This would make her a villain in the eyes of fans, but it could also lead to Aldis becoming a full-time wrestler again. Perhaps he could feud with a handpicked talent that McMahon puts her support behind?

#2. She could show up and fire Bronson Reed for putting his hands on Adam Pearce

While most fans love Nick Aldis, many believe that RAW's Adam Pearce has not been up to the task in recent months. The former NWA World Heavyweight Champion has no control over the red brand's roster, and that was again proven last night.

Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman had an epic Last Monster Standing Match in the main event of WWE Monday Night RAW. The two monsters attacked security officials and the match referee during the encounter before Adam tried to break it up. This led to Reed putting his hands on the 46-year-old before the backstage staff intervened.

Stephanie could return to television and reprimand The King of Monsters. She could, on behalf of Triple H and TKO, suspend or even fire Bronson for daring to put his hands on officials and the RAW GM. This would help Pearce, who just can't seem to maintain control on his own.

#1. Stephanie could become the WWE General Manager of the company's women's division

An interesting concept from TNA Wrestling's past could be brought to WWE. At one point, the Nashville-based company had a separate authority figure strictly for their Knockouts division. WWE could do the same thing and have Stephanie become the General Manager of the women's division across RAW and SmackDown to straighten things out.

For example, she could try to take control of the chaotic division. One feud that needs somebody to put their foot down is between Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan. The rivalry has been intense, with both women having been injured by the other in the past, and there are constant wars of words devolving into big brawls.

Additionally, Stephanie could introduce the rumored midcard titles for the women's division. RAW could receive the Women's Intercontinental Title, while SmackDown could have the Women's United States Championship. Given Stephanie's history of empowering female performers, it would make sense if she introduced it.
