Stephanie McMahon set to make her WWE return soon? Rumblings explored
On January 10, 2023, Stephanie McMahon resigned from WWE, ending her association with the promotion, at least in an official capacity. Since then, she has made sporadic appearances on TV, most notably at WrestleMania 40 and SummerSlam 2024. Is a comeback on the cards for The Billion Dollar Princess? And if so, how soon can we expect to see her on our screens?
Well, according to Vince Russo, the 48-year-old has already made her return. On Sportskeeda Wrestling's Writing with Russo, the pro wrestling veteran told host Dr. Christ Featherstone that he had heard through the grapevine that Stephanie McMahon had already returned to WWE and in a major way. He claims that The Queen of Queens is very active behind the scenes, but her involvement and return are being kept very "hush-hush."
There is currently no official confirmation that Stephanie McMahon has returned to the Sports Entertainment juggernaut. However, if Vince Russo's statement is accurate, it won't be long before she graces our screens once more. If Stephanie does reappear on any WWE show, it likely will not be in the same capacity as before when she played powerful roles like The Boss' daughter or a heel authority figure alongside Triple H.
That being said, this is nothing more than mere speculation. We will just have to wait and see if The Billion Dollar Princess makes her presence known in an official capacity in the future.
Stephanie McMahon left WWE upon Vince McMahon's return
From July 2022 to January 2023, Stephanie McMahon served as WWE's Chairwoman. She was elevated to the position following Vince McMahon's initial retirement.
However, things changed when the 79-year-old decided to make a return the following year, prompting the former WWE Women's Champion to resign from her position and exit the company.
Now, there has been plenty of speculation surrounding her decision. Some have suggested that her father's return, coupled with the ongoing allegations and lawsuit surrounding former WWE employee Janel Grant, was the last straw for Stephanie.
However, in a letter she penned to the WWE Universe on X, the 48-year-old claimed that she felt the company was in a strong position with her father, her husband Triple H, and Nick Khan at the helm, and thus she decided to step down.
Following her resignation, there wasn't even a mention of The Billion Dollar Princess in WWE programming. However, Stephanie returned earlier this year in Philadelphia, where she officially ushered the company into the Triple H era at WrestleMania 40.
