The Super ShowDown pay-per-view will take place on June 7, 2019, at the King Abdullah Sports City's King Abdullah International Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It will be the second WWE event promoted under the Super ShowDown chronology and the third event under WWE's 10-year partnership supporting Saudi Vision 2030.

Keeping that in mind, WWE has yet again tried to assemble a star-studded roster for the event in order to ensure that The Kingdom stays interested in the product and keeps asking for more from the WWE management in the coming years.

While the Greatest Royal Rumble received a good amount of build-up, the second event Crown Jewel received an even bigger build up, especially because the first ever WWE World Cup was held at the event.

The Super ShowDown, however, seems more rushed and doesn’t seem to have received its fair share of storylines which could hurt the clashes which will take place at the event.

In this article, we will take a look at the 3 biggest mistakes WWE have made in their build-up to the event.

#3 Braun Strowman vs. Bobby Lashley?

One of the biggest clashes for the event is scheduled to take between the two biggest men on Raw, Bobby Lashley and Braun Strowman. Before the clash was announced, there were reports of Drew McIntyre taking on Strowman at the event. It’s possible WWE changed plans to save that match for a later date and a bigger event with a better build-up.

Even though this match was announced on May 18, WWE has not really bothered to build it up at all in the past few weeks.

We’ve seen the two men come face to face a couple of times, especially when Strowman had a short feud with Sami Zayn, but WWE has not really bothered to build on this mid-card match.

This is surprising, keeping in mind that Strowman has won the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia in the past, and is also a Money in the Bank briefcase winner and was in the picture for the Universal Championship once. There is no doubt that his popularity in Saudi Arabia is high.

Lashley, on the other hand, has seen mixed treatment at the hands of the creatives since his return, and this could soon result in his departure.
