Roman Reigns will be teaming up with a former rival for a major match next month at WWE Bad Blood. The Premium Live Event will air live from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, on October 5.
It was announced this past Friday night on WWE SmackDown that Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes will be teaming up to battle The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at Bad Blood next month. Cody Rhodes defeated The Head of the Table in the main event of WrestleMania XL to capture the Undisputed WWE Championship. Rhodes successfully defended the title against Solo Sikoa in a Steel Cage match on the September 13 edition of SmackDown.
Listed below are four reasons why Roman Reigns should have a backup tag team partner for WWE Bad Blood.
#4. The Bloodline will have the numbers advantage at WWE Bad Blood
The Bloodline's Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa will be facing Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes at WWE Bad Blood. However, WWE Tag Team Champions Tonga Loa and Tama Tonga will likely attempt to get involved in the match to help their stablemates.
Roman Reigns should consider reaching out to anyone who has an issue with The Bloodline ahead of the Premium Live Event. If the faction attempts to interfere in the match, Reigns could have reinforcements ready to go to even the odds at Bad Blood.
#3. The Bloodline could take out Cody Rhodes before Bad Blood with a surprise attack
Solo Sikoa has failed to capture the Undisputed WWE Championship from Cody Rhodes twice now. Roman Reigns returned for the first time since WrestleMania XL and cost Sikoa his chance to win the title last month at SummerSlam. Reigns also foiled The Bloodline's attack on Rhodes this past Friday on SmackDown after Sikoa lost to The American Nightmare in the Steel Cage match.
The heel faction could be planning an attack on Cody Rhodes in the weeks ahead to take him out ahead of the tag team match at Bad Blood. If Roman Reigns does not have a backup plan in place, he may then have to battle Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a Handicap match at the Premium Live Event next month.

Despite returning to the promotion as a babyface, Roman Reigns could still have issues with Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare ended the 39-year-old's historic reign as Undisputed WWE Champion at WrestleMania, and Reigns could still be bitter about it.
Reigns claimed it was still his WWE, and SmackDown was still his show this past Friday night on the blue brand. Cody Rhodes interrupted and noted that used to be the case before The Bloodline attempted an attack from behind. Reigns and Rhodes cleared the ring, and both stars signed the contract to make the tag team match official for Bad Blood.
There is clearly still underlying tension between Rhodes and Reigns, but the two agreed to put it aside for now to team up against The Bloodline. However, Reigns could still have a backup plan behind the scenes if his partnership with Rhodes falls apart ahead of the match on October 5.

Roman Reigns could be planning a last-minute switch at Bad Blood to catch The Bloodline off guard ahead of the tag team match. Solo Sikoa kicked Jimmy Uso out of the faction on the April 12 episode of SmackDown. Jimmy lost to Jey Uso in a singles match at WrestleMania XL, and Solo Sikoa decided to take action following the loss.
The Original Tribal Chief may decide to announce before the match at Bad Blood that Cody Rhodes would not be his tag team partner. Jimmy Uso could then finally make his return and team up with Reigns to get revenge on their former faction at the Premium Live Event in Atlanta. The 39-year-old's return would likely catch Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu off guard as they would have been preparing to face Reigns and Rhodes.
