Suspension by Triple H; Leaving WWE? 4 directions for Kevin Owens after losing at Saturday Night's Main Event

Kevin Owens continued his spree of horrific acts, this time at WWE's Saturday Night's Main Event. The former Universal Champion executed the banned Piledriver on Cody Rhodes, seemingly causing a severe neck injury to the Undisputed WWE Champion.

KO featured in a title match against Cody Rhodes in the main event of the show, but he fell short of a victory. The American Nightmare pinned KO after putting him with a Cross Rhodes on a steel chair. However, redemption was driving KO and he did so by attacking Cody Rhodes from behind.

WWE CCO Triple H was visibly angry at Owens after what he did to Rhodes. Hunter confronted KO right after, and he might take disciplinary action against him. This listicle will discuss four possible directions for Kevin Owens in WWE after SNME.

#4. WWE CCO Triple H might suspend Kevin Owens indefinitely

Triple H was highly incensed at Kevin Owens after he delivered a Piledriver on Rhodes. The WWE CCO pushed Kevin Owens, yelling at him, even as KO stood on the ramp celebrating after injuring Cody Rhodes. Till now, Hunter was seen batting for KO, but now he might take strong action against him.

Triple H might suspend KO for an indefinite period for attacking and severely injuring two superstars. Triple H didn't take any action against Owens even after he injured Orton severely, but now, Hunter might just take action against the SmackDown Superstar for crossing the line.

#3. Kevin Owens might leave WWE after contract expiry

Kevin Owens' WWE contract expiry has been under the spotlight for the past few months. Owens' contract is rumored to expire in early 2025, and the current storyline might be used to write him off TV.

The Prizefighter might leave the promotion in early 2025, as no new deal has been reported to have been signed by KO with the Stamford-based promotion. He recently spoke to Alex McCarthy of Daily Mail about his contract situation. Owens sidestepped the question and stated that nothing had been signed as yet.

“I don’t think anything is sorted for those shows yet. Obviously, knowing WWE and knowing how important this is being made for everyone here, this is clearly a big deal to them. Hitting all these European towns and cities back-to-back for three weeks in a row with TV there and big live events. It is a big deal," Owens said. [H/T - Wrestlezone]

#2. Kevin Owens might target Sami Zayn

KO might not stop with Cody Rhodes and former Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn might be next on his radar now. Kevin has been going after his friends who allied with Roman Reigns. Zayn is Kevin Owens' best friend in the company and he too had aligned with Roman Reigns for the Survivor Series: WarGames.

In this case, Sami Zayn will have to battle two monsters; Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens. The Honorary Uce suffered a tragic defeat at the hands of McIntyre at Saturday Night's Main Event. It remains to be seen how Zayn responds to McIntyre now and Owens, if he targets him.

#1. Kevin Owens might also move to RAW

The Prizefighter might also decide on moving to Monday Night RAW amid the red brand moving to streaming giant Netflix from January 6, 2025. Following his actions at SNME, Nick Aldis might suspend KO on the blue brand, and Owens might move to RAW.

In essence, KO's heel turn since Bad Blood has been exciting to watch. He has unleashed a violent personality of himself in this new role, and as the show progresses towards WrestleMania 41, KO will gain significant heat by then. The fans are all excited to see the next move of Kevin Owens.
