The Bloodline's Jimmy & Jey Uso just broke a heartbreaking streak that lasted 70 weeks: Here's what happened with Roman Reigns looking on
WWE Crown Jewel 2024 just saw the reunion of the OG Bloodline in action for the first time in a while. For the first time in what feels like an eternity, Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, and Jey Uso were on the same side of the ring. It was an epic moment that the entirety of the Mohammed Abdo Arena acknowledged. However, one thing may have passed over the heads of the WWE Universe in attendance, and it was a heartbreaking 70-week streak that The Usos broke.
For the longest time, the duo of Jimmy and Jey Uso were one of the greatest tag teams of all time. Together, they brought glory not just to The Bloodline, but to the entire Anoa'i Family. However, given they only recently reunited, we tend to forget that they haven't worked together in a long time. That is why, WWE Crown Jewel played host to a very special moment, as The Usos performed a hot tag for the first time since 2023.
The last time they pulled it off was back at Money in the Bank 2023. That too, was a Bloodline civil war of sorts, as Jey and Jimmy Uso took on Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. It was quite a memorable event, as The Main Event did the impossible back then, and pinned Reigns. That aside, this moment certainly brought tears to the eyes of fans around the world, and for good reason.
It's great to see The Usos back in action together. Although the match didn't end as they had planned, the fans will be looking forward to seeing more from them in the coming weeks. It will be interesting to see how things progress.
The tension between the OG Bloodline was clearly visible at Crown Jewel
To say this OG Bloodline reunion was last-minute would be an understatement. Jey Uso went from despising Roman Reigns to reluctantly working with him in just two weeks. With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that there was some tension in the group tonight at WWE Crown Jewel.
While the group had great chemistry at times, there were worrying signs at the beginning of their match with Solo Sikoa and his goons. Firmly in control, Jey Uso dragged Tama Tonga to his corner, but that's where things got dicey. Despite having his hand out ready for the tag, Roman Reigns was ignored by his cousin, who chose to tag in his twin brother Jimmy instead.
The Original Tribal Chief was understandably confused and not too pleased by Jey's decision. Additionally, considering how the match ended and the chaos that followed, it's safe to say that questions will be asked.
