Why The Miz and Dolph Ziggler could form the most successful tag team of 2014
Dolph Ziggler and Miz have had almost similar careers in the WWE as both superstars reached the epitome of the business and dropped down abruptly. And according to the latest rumors making rounds in the internet a tainted creative is making plans to form a tag team with the two in order to make them relevant cum the WrestleMania.
On various grounds this could turn out to be a great decision as both the superstars desperately needs some good direction.
What is going to make them tick will be the current condition of the tag team division.
The Company is seeing the division flourish and reach heights that it hasn’t seen in recent past. The teams are giving consistent performances every week in and week out giving the main eventers a run for their money.
Inserting a team into the already jam packed division may not sound brilliant at the start but the current teams are slowly dilating which will make voids in the near future.
The Prime Time Players were the first to explode as Titus O’Neil looks set to receive a good heel push. Real Americans looks the next in line since Zeb Colter has been getting under the skin of Antonio Cesaro and jack Swagger along with this, the company would want to free Cesaro as soon as possible in order to make him a singles star.
Rhodes Brothers also looks like heading for an explosion with the Goldust- Cody Rhodes feud being teased at various occasions. Once all these happen it only leaves The Usos, The New Age Outlaws and Wyatt Family as the main stays in the division.
From that three, the Outlaws ain’t going to have a long run with their age while the Luke Harper and Erick Rowan will be busy backing up Bray Wyatt. Thus this makes the inclusion of new team a much needed factor.
Apart from this, the company is planning to build them as a team of angry men who are fed up without getting the push they deserve. The pinch of reality makes the team credible and worth waiting for and to add with it, there are no doubts on the in ring ability of the two superstars.
Ziggler still makes the fans go wild with his in ring abilities though he is not backed up by any storyline. The pop he got at the Royal Rumble was the proof of the fire that stills burns in him. However, Miz doesn’t have that luxury as he had been a scapegoat of the inconsistent booking of the creative.
He had many turns in a short span of time which left the fans wonders as to whether he is a face or a heel. That cost Miz dearly but one cannot argue about the experience he has forming tag teams. Miz has won the tag title numerous times and had interesting partners’ each time.
A team involving, Miz and Big Show might not ring any bells at first but the team went on to be a successful one much to the surprise. His pairing up with John Morrison also became a cult team among the teenage fans. The Awesome Truth experiment also gained moderate success leaving Miz as one of the most eligible tag team wrestlers in the company.
The dynamic duo could work their way into the top of the broken division in the future and might end up with the tag titles which could revive both their careers. They could be also broken up after a good run and feud for some time before being injected back into the main event scene.
In all ways, the decision only brings good things for the company. Now the only wait will be for the rumors to materialize and deliver the career save of these two talented men.
