The Rock to return and reinstate Kevin Owens to WWE SmackDown? Exploring why it must happen
It has been a while since we've seen The Rock on WWE TV. Last seen following the main event of Bad Blood 2024, fans are eagerly awaiting his next appearance. Well, it is on the horizon, perhaps as early as next week's SmackDown. That's right! The Final Boss could make his presence felt next Friday, and what's more? He could make an impact by reinstating Kevin Owens.
In case you missed it, last night, Kevin Owens took to his X account and revealed that he was turned away from the arena in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Coincidentally, in his post, he tagged several current and former authority figures, including The Rock and Stephanie McMahon, respectively. So, eager to appease the angry superstar and sensing the potential to further his agenda, The Final Boss might show up on next week's SmackDown, which will take place in Salt Lake City.
The Rock could turn up and officially reinstate Kevin Owens. It's a move that could shock Cody Rhodes and the WWE management. The only question is, why? Well, it's not exactly news that The Final Boss isn't a fan of The American Nightmare. So, by reinstating KO, he would not only earn himself a valuable ally, but The People's Champion would also have the opportunity to further poison The Prizefighter's mind.
By doing so, he would get a perfect opportunity to pounce on Cody Rhodes. Further down the line, with Randy Orton on the shelf and KO firmly against the Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody would be left with no allies during his feud with The Final Boss. That being said, this is nothing more than speculation, and there is no telling how things will unfold.
The Rock could also return at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames
While it is true that The Rock was present at WWE Bad Blood, he only appeared after the main event. A main event that saw Cody Rhodes team up with Roman Reigns against The Bloodline's Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa. So, while The Great One certainly has a score to settle with Rhodes, he could have also been there to express his disappointment in the Original Tribal Chief.
After all, The Rock and the OTC teamed up at WrestleMania 40 against Cody and Seth Rollins. So, to see his cousin team up with The American Nightmare must have been frustrating. So much so that he could return at the Survivor Series: WarGames PLE and potentially cost the OG Bloodline the WarGames Match against Solo Sikoa and Co.
It certainly is a possibility and would be quite a shocking turn of events. But the truth is, there is no telling when The Final Boss plans on returning. One thing is for sure, though: The Brahma Bull will be back, and when he does return, all hell will break loose!
