The Rock's secret weapon; Roman Reigns' nightmare? - 4 reasons why former Bloodline member returned to cost the OTC at WWE Crown Jewel

Roman Reigns, alongside Jey and Jimmy Uso, battled in a fierce Six-Man Tag Team Match against The Bloodline at the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event, kicking off the incredible show. The bout ended with a shocking outcome when Solo Sikoa, with the assistance of Jacob Fatu, pinned the Original Tribal Chief clean to secure the big win for his faction.

After the closing moments of the match Solo Sikoa and his Bloodline overpowered Roman Reigns and The Usos. Sami Zayn rushed out to help Jey Uso after the heel faction tied a steel chair around the neck of the YEET Master to put him away.

However, things took a turn for the worse when Sami Zayn mistakenly connected with a Helluva Kick on the face of Roman Reigns while they both went in to punish the self-proclaimed Tribal Chief, who managed to duck out of the way.

Let’s look at four potential reasons why Sami Zayn returned to assist the OG Bloodline at Crown Jewel 2024 and how it could be a turning point in the ongoing saga.

#4 Did Sami Zayn came out to prove his loyalty?

The OG Bloodline was all about family, where all the competing members belonged to the great Samoan Island culture. However, Sami Zayn was the only member of the faction, who wasn't part of the family.

Zayn's journey with the faction as its Honorary Uce was not easy, as he had to prove himself over and over again, and had to go through multiple tests and challenges to prove that he was just as dependable as family is. The trust issues eventually forced the former Intercontinental Champion to turn on The Bloodline.

On the latest episode of RAW, he confronted The Usos, and once again he is being doubted, as Jimmy saw The Great Liberator exchanging words with Solo Sikoa in the parking lot later. There is a huge possibility he rushed out just to prove his loyalty, which he had been trying to do since he first joined the faction.

#3 Sami Zayn might have come out just to punish Roman Reigns

Sami Zayn respected and acknowledged Roman Reigns without expecting any favors, he often took bullets in his chest for The Bloodline, and in return, he was doubted and ultimately kicked out of the faction.

There is a chance the 40-year-old superstar intentionally connected with his Helluva Kick in Reigns’s face at the premium live event. It would only be natural for a person to want some payback when they have been hard done. His actions at Crown Jewel tonight might have been to punish the OTC for what he did to him in the past.

#2 The Rock’s master plan?

The Rock is undoubtedly going to be part of The Bloodline Saga down the line. Seeds were planted when The Final Boss made a much-awaited return to WWE at Bad Blood 2024 after several months of absence. Before leaving the ramp, he dropped a subtle hint. He stared down at Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and Jimmy Uso, counted to three on his fingers, and made a slit-throat gesture.

The Great One holds an influential position in the Stamford-based company and there is a possibility that The Rock could misuse his powers as a TKO board member and recruit Sami Zayn to create tensions within Roman Reigns' Bloodline. Hence tonight's events could all have been part of The Final Boss' master plan.

#1 It could have been Solo Sikoa and Sami Zayn's devious plan

During the go-home show of Monday Night Raw before Crown Jewel, fans saw in a segment that Jimmy Uso was keeping an eye on Sami Zayn’s activities. He saw the former Honorary Uce deep in discussion with Solo Sikoa in the parking lot.

So there is a chance that the new Tribal Chief and The Underdog From The Underground might have hatched a devious plan, where Zayn would seemingly pick the OG Bloodline to create internal tensions within the faction, ultimately affecting their performance.

With all the massive twists and turns, it will be interesting to see what shocking twist Triple H and the creative team have in store for this saga in the future.
