The Rock to set up a mega Roman Reigns match for WWE Bad Blood tonight? Exploring the possibility

The Rock hasn't been seen in a WWE ring for quite a while, but he is still very much a part of the company's plans. Rumors have been going around suggesting that he could make a return tonight on SmackDown's season premiere on the USA Network. Should this prove to be the case, with his power as the Final Boss, he may just set up a mega match for Roman Reigns at WWE Bad Blood.

What could this mega match be? Well, The Rock could announce a match between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa at WWE Bad Blood. Now, at first glance, this may be confusing. After all, The Final Boss has already acknowledged Reigns as his Tribal Chief. But, this is where things get interesting, as Rocky's master plan unfolds.

The night could kick off with Cody Rhodes taking on Solo Sikoa in a Steel Cage match as scheduled. However, once again, Roman Reigns appears to save Rhodes and foil Sikoa's plans. This is where The Rock makes his shocking return and lays out not just The American Nightmare but The Original Tribal Chief as well. This all leads up to an announcement being made in the main event.

After being taken out by his cousin, Reigns comes out after the main event and calls him out, demanding a match. The Final Boss answers the call, but he makes it clear, that in order to get to him, Reigns must go through some 'Tribal Challenges', the first of which is Solo Sikoa at Bad Blood. But, this is just a matter of speculation, and there really is no telling what's in store for tonight.

The Rock is expected to set his sights on Cody Rhodes for WrestleMania 41

While there is no telling if The Rock will return tonight, one thing is for sure, it is inevitable. He will be back at some point in time, and when he does, he will likely set his sights on Cody Rhodes. In fact, several reports suggest that the two may even clash at WrestleMania 41.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE plans on scheduling a match between the two for The Show of Shows. It definitely makes a lot of sense, given that Rocky's parting words before leaving WWE had to do with his interest in the Undisputed WWE Championship. So, it's safe to say the chances of seeing this match happen are high.

This certainly would be a match to keep an eye out for. But, there is still plenty of time before WrestleMania season rolls around. In other words, there is still time for plans to change.
