WWE News: Heavy security for The Rock during WrestleMania 32
The Rock had declared back in February that he was going to be present at WrestleMania 32. Since that very day, the producers and insurers of his upcoming movie Baywatch felt that the star may risk his health or get injured if he participates in a wrestling match.
So, it was speculated that he will only have a non-wrestling role at the event as he had signed the said ‘non-wrestling’ clause.
Prior to the main event, The Rock showed up at WrestleMania and made a grand entry with a flamethrower. He announced that WrestleMania 32 recorded the highest WrestleMania attendance with more than 101,000 people attending the event. He was then confronted by the Wyatt Family and ultimately wrestled Erick Rowan.
By defeating Rowan in 6 seconds, he set the record for the shortest match in WrestleMania history.
Allwrestlingnews.com reports that The Rock was under the watchful eyes of some high-security detail during the event. He was in a separate locker room which was near the gorilla position. The security was most likely provided by the orders of the producers of his upcoming Baywatch movie.
The emphasis on his security was so much that he didn’t even stay back after his segment at WrestleMania and left the arena right after it ended.
