The Shield: 4 Reasons why Dean Ambrose was the odd one out
The Shield will undoubtedly go down as one of the greatest factions of all time. The trio traveled all around the globe and caught the attention of many who predicted these three men to achieve lots of success because of their evident superstar aura.
Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Dean Ambrose, the Hounds of Justice who took on the locker room upon their arrival, haven't looked back ever since. Counting the Shield's memorable moments might take a long time simply because these 3 men have given us so much to cherish.
While their achievements as a group are pretty impressive, it is the individual run of each man that shall be the focus of this discussion. Seth and Roman are still around whereas Dean has parted his ways with the company, and it makes us wonder: was he the odd one out?
Maybe he was, and here we present 4 reasons to support our case:
#4 No one's guy
The Shield comprised of 3 men - Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose. Roman was surely Vince's first choice, due to his looks, his personality, and more. The reason behind Roman's push was that Vince believed in him. The chairman of the company thought of Roman as someone who could be the flag bearer for the company, someone like John Cena.
Seth, on the other hand, became Triple H's favourite, as the Game entrusted in him on one too many occasions. The Architect owes it to the Game because it was Triple H who believed in Rollins. The two were at one point working together during their Authority days, which later led to their feud, one which culminated at WrestleMania 33 when Rollins defeated The Game in a singles bout.
This brings us to Dean Ambrose, the Lunatic Fringe, who may have made many fans but when it comes to the company's internal matters, he may have missed a trick or two.
Vince McMahon and Triple H are the 2 men who run this company. While Vince is obviously the one who holds much more power, Triple H has a say in the decision-making process. Roman became Vince's guy whereas Seth caught Triple H's attention!
Dean's lack of a push may have been down to this, because at the end of the day, it doesn't matter how good you are unless and until your boss believes in you. Dean's talent is unquestionable but things work differently within WWE.
