You will go one on one with the Great One !

A man who coined the word “Smackdown”. If you are a big fan of Wrestling, then you already known about whom we are talking about. It’s WWE Legend “The Rock“. He doesn’t needs any introduction as his name speaks for himself. This article will talk about the life long journey of Dwayne Johnson “The Rock” .

On May 2,1972, a Legend was born on Earth to Ata Johnson and Rocky Johnson in Hayward, California. He is a first “Third Generation” Superstar In the WWE. He is a man fortunate enough to witness all eras of WWE, including “The Golden Era” or “The Attitude Era” of WWE. He was the one of the best, if not THE best, superstar at the time of  “The Attitude Era” due to his remarkable feud with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. He earned his title “The Great One” by defeating WWE legends such as “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan,”Stone Cold” Steve Austin and John Cena.

His journey to become “The Great One” started on started on 17th November 1996 at Survivor Series as Rocky Malvia, against Superstars like HHH ,Goldust and Jerry “The King” Lawyer as and WWE chairman Mr Vice Mcmohan witnessed the Beginning Of New Era. He was the lone survivor of that historic match, by first eliminating Goldust and then Crush. The Rock was introduced to the WWE Universe as a baby face. He won the Intercontinental title within 3 months of his debut. He had achieved success within a few months of his debut. But people did not like him; “Rocky Sucks” , “Die Rocky Die ” were the chants chanted by crowd in each arena he performed. He was very concerned with the WWE fans’ reaction and decided to take a break from the WWE .

He became what people wanted him to become instead of what he wanted to be !

 By CEO HHH

One night Jim Ross called The Rock and gave him an offer to join Nation Of Domination. Dwayne”The Rock” Johnson turned heel with his decision to join NOD. He asked Vince Mcmohan for one opportunity and made a memorable 30 second speech. He gained momentum after that and won Intercontinental title. He wanted people to call him as “The Rock” instead of Rocky Maivia. The Rock never wanted to be “the second guy” and wanted to be the ruler of NOD. On May 31, 1998, The Rock defeated Faarooq for the Intercontinental Title and became leader of Nation Of Domination.

After The Rock became leader of The Nation of Domination, there was another clan lead by Triple H. There were frequent clashes between them and it was a real test for The Rock to prove that he was worthy of being the leader of Nation Of Domination. On 30 July, 1998 , The Rock faced Triple H in his first ever Ladder Match at Summer Slam, in which he showed his resilience and skills but fell short to win against Triple H as DX emerged victorious and ended their feud with The Rock .

If you listen to this guy talking ….You knew this guy would win big money, real quick real fast

On 15 November, 1998, the “One Night Tournament” was held at Survivor Series, featuring 16 superstars including The Undertaker, HHH,”Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Mankind. At the final stage of this tournament, The Rock won against Mick Foley to become “The Corporate” Champion in a manner similar to the ‘Montreal Screwjob’. His journey to become legend began to take pace after becoming WWE (Corporate) Champion. This started his feud with “The Legendary” Mick Foley. At Royal Rumble, in an “I Quit” match against Mick Foley, he mercilessly beat a bloodied Mick Foley and caused many injuries to him; though Mick Foley would not quit, he was once again screwed of his title. On 21 January, 1999, The Rock participated in the first ever empty arena match against Mick Foley but only to lose title against him. This ended their remarkable feud, but something more was waiting for The Rock as it would change the completion of the whole Wrestling Era and would be forever be written in the books of history of WWE.

Mick Foley had a very special magic tool and his desire to entertain audience through great impact with his body was mindblowing and staggering

The Rock-Austin Feud is considered one of the greatest feuds in WWE history. Whenever The Rock and Stone Cold clashed at any stage, it would create sparks which would electrify wrestling fans across the world.
