The Undertaker to cause interference, WWE legend to return as a heel? - 4 finishes for Trick Williams vs. Ethan Page at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc
The WWE Universe is eagerly anticipating the next two massive premium live events presented by the main roster. Crown Jewel will take place in the beginning of November and Survivor Series: WarGames will happen at the end of the very same month.
Those aren't the only big WWE PLEs set to stream, however. A big show is taking place this Sunday courtesy of the NXT brand. Halloween Havoc, which has roots dating back to World Championship Wrestling, will take place on October 27, 2024.
What is likely the main event of NXT Halloween Havoc will be a bout between Ethan Page and Trick Williams. The two will clash with the NXT Championship on the line after trading the belt back and forth in recent months.
It isn't clear which of the two talented performers will leave NXT Halloween Havoc as champion, as there are a handful of interesting ways the match between them could end. This article will take a look at possible finishes for the upcoming title match, which may include a return from CM Punk and interference from The Undertaker.
Below are four finishes for Trick Williams vs. Ethan Page at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc.
#4. Ethan Page could cheat and regain the prized NXT Championship
Ethan Page is a veteran of pro wrestling. While he only joined WWE this year, All Ego has been in the industry for decades. He has wrestled in TNA Wrestling, ROH Wrestling, and even All Elite Wrestling prior to joining NXT.
Since arriving on the white and gold brand, All Ego has found the most success of his career. He won the NXT Championship and has been featured as a top star on the brand.
Still, Ethan generally cheats to succeed and that may be what happens at NXT Halloween Havoc. While technically anything goes, Ethan may take an underhanded approach to win, perhaps via a low blow or gouging at Trick's eyes before getting a quick pinfall victory.
#3. Trick Williams could pin the former champion
Trick Williams is an absurdly popular WWE star. Thanks to a great theme song and infectious charisma.
While Williams was initially known as Carmelo Hayes' lackey, he craved his own over the past year or so. He briefly held the North American Championship and has gone on to win the NXT Champion on two separate occasions.
Trick has managed to defeat the likes of Carmelo Hayes and Ilja Dragunov in singles competition. As a result, he can and likely will defeat Ethan Page by pinfall when they go one-on-one at Halloween Havoc. One Trick Shot should be enough to take All Ego out.
#2. CM Punk could return to WWE as a heel and align himself with Ethan Page
CM Punk is a WWE legend. The multi-time World Champion returned to the Sports Entertainment juggernaut almost a year ago and has since had one of the best feuds in recent memory with Drew McIntyre. He is also a big proponent of NXT.
Punk and Ethan Page have had issues in WWE. They bickered and Punk even nailed Ego with the GTS. From there, All Ego showed up on RAW to complain about Punk's behavior. All of that could make for a shocking swerve at NXT Halloween Havoc.
While fans would expect Punk to take out Ethan Page, if he were to appear at all, he might instead return as a heel and cost Trick the win. He and Ethan have both been calling themselves The Devil as of late, plus Punk will likely need to turn to feud with Seth Rollins. The pair uniting could be great business.
#1. The Undertaker could appear during the Devil's Playground Match
The Undertaker is an icon in pro wrestling. The Hall of Famer might soon make another appearance on NXT.
While The Deadman is rumored to appear on WWE NXT's weekly show, he could first stop at Halloween Havoc. The Halloween-themed event fits his spooky aura and this especially applies to the Devil's Playground Match, which is the stipulation bout reserved for Williams vs. Page.
The Undertaker could serve as The Grim Reaper, both figuratively and maybe even dressed as one. If Ethan tries to take a cheap shot or run away, The Deadman could reveal himself and attack All Ego. This could then allow Trick to pick up a huge win. The Deadman helping the young star would make for a major moment.
