The Undertaker's wife - Who is she?
The Undertaker has become a legend in the wrestling world. Over the past two decades and a half, he has been the only constant in the ever changing landscape of professional wrestling. But the man behind the gimmick is as unique as the character he portrays.
The Undertaker is one of the most dominant wrestlers in the business and has a record 23-1 streak at WrestleMania. He is a multiple time World Champion, Royal Rumble winner, and a future Hall of Famer. He is highly respected in the locker room and is considered to be one of the greatest professional wrestler. He debuted at Survivor Series in November 1990 and since then has been a constant presence in the WWE.
Over the course of his long career, Taker has put on some glorious matches. His WrestleMania matches with the likes of Edge, Shawn Michaels, Triple H and CM Punk are considered to be some of the greatest matches in the history of WrestleMania. His matches with Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 25 and WrestleMania 26 were voted as match of the year.
Even as recently as 2015, Taker and Lesnar put on a spectacle at Hell In A Cell that won a SLAMMY award for match of the year.
Taker has also been a part of the most dominant tag team in the history of WWE, teaming up with the likes of Stone Cold, Big Show and the Rock. Kane and Undertaker joined forces to become the Brothers of Destruction, which is regarded as one of the most dominant and fear inducing tag team in professional wrestling.
In fact, Mark Calaway is a very private person with little to no social media presence. We delve into the Deadman’s personal life in this article – The Undertaker’s wife, his past marriages and his current status.
The Undertaker married Michelle McCool on June 26, 2010, in Houston, Texas. Michelle McCool had spent the better part of a decade, wrestling for the WWE as well. The two met there and got together.

McCool debuted in WWE in 2004 and became the first woman to hold both women's titles simultaneously before they were unified and became a single belt. In fact, Michelle was a two-time Women’s Champion and Diva’s Champion before retiring from the industry in 2011.
Michelle McCool too has many laurels on her shoulder. She former is two-time WWE Divas Champion and a two-time WWE Women's Champion and a one time Diva of the Year. McCool was working a regular job as a school teacher when she was discovered during the 2004 Divas Search. She went on to become one of the best female wrestlers in the company during the PG era.
Being a part of the WWE for so long, Michelle understood the grind that WWE superstars are subjected to and perhaps connected with Taker on many levels for this reason.
The happy couple were blessed with their first child, Kaia Faith Calaway, on August 29, 2012. This was McCool’s first child and Taker’s fourth. The couple recently celebrated their sixth marriage anniversary, that Michelle McCool commemorated with a beautiful Instagram post. In the picture, the couple looks very happy, besides one another.

Taker has a number of tattoos on his sleeves and neck. He earlier had a tattoo that read “Sara”, on his throat for his second wife, Sara Calaway. Sara has earlier served as Taker’s ring valet. Their marriage lasted from 2000 until 2007. The couple even had two daughters together, Chasey and Gracie.
After their marriage had ended, Undertaker removed the Sara tattoo from his throat. He replaced this with the names of his daughters on either side of his neck to portray his love for them.
Undertaker’s married life has been all but perfect. His marriage with Sara was, in fact, his second. He was earlier married to Jodi Lynn, in 1989. In 1993, four years after their marriage, the couple welcomed their son, Gunner Vincent.
However, things did not work out between the two and the couple divorced in 1999, ten years after marriage.
The Undertaker celebrated his 50th birthday this year with his wife. It was a quiet event with Michelle posting the following picture on Instagram:
McCool is a devout Christian and made it evident in the ring when she would often incorporate crosses on her wrestling attire. McCool has had her fair share of wrestling-related injuries during the span of her career.
In November 2007, she fractured her nose during an overseas WWE tour, after Victoria hit her with a stiff clothesline and nailed her in the face. She has been hospitalised twice, had two broken ribs, a broken sternum, and a broken xiphoid process.
When she chose to leave the WWE, she mentioned that her foot had been injured for two months with a broken toe, torn joint capsule and a torn MCL.
Michelle, McCool was diagnosed with skin cancer earlier this year. She did not give out too many details, but revealed that she had to ‘have holes cut out of her body due to skin cancer’.
She told her followers to use sunscreen in the following Instagram post.
Hey kids! Wear yo sunscreen & you won't have to have holes cut out of your body due to skin cancer! #ifiknewnow #SUNSCREEN #alldayeveryday

In 2007, Taker and Sara were divorced, and he became romantically linked to former wrestler Michelle McCool, whom he married on June 26, 2010 in Houston, Texas. This was Taker’s third marriage and Michelle’s second. McCool was earlier married to Jeremy Louis Alexander, her high school sweetheart. The couple divorced in 2006. Since then, McCool got together with Taker and the couple have only grown fonder of each other.
The Undertaker’s current status with WWE is not very clear. There are some rumour mills generating reports, that the wheels are in motion for the Undertaker to face the likes of either Cena, Balor, Kevin Owens or even Goldberg at WrestleMania 33.
However, it is important to note that Taker himself had made it clear after this year’s WrestleMania, that it was his last outing. His match with Shane McMahon had some exciting spots but failed to deliver the goods at the biggest stage of them all. The Phenom hasn’t been seen on WWE television since.
However, the next Royal Rumble will be organised at the Alamodome in Texas, and it may mark Taker’s return for a final feud at WrestleMania. Taker recently made an appearance at the opening night celebrations for the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland in full ring attire.
